Males are similar, variations on a large eye theme. Though the second one does have an elaborate filigree marking/tattoo around the eyes/forehead. Sorry no pics, my time is short and almost none of the new faces impressed me.

Exception: The very canthan looking male sylvari (3rd option), the scarred male human and norn, the fierce 3rd option for female charr (and note male charr get the Tybalt face now).

I love the kitty like eyes. So going on my necro. Maybe. I think. Lol

The male ones are the same exact thing, except maybe a little less cheek puffiness.

Don’t even waste your time on the Charr faces. Especially the female charr ones.
I don’t care for the asura faces, they look like evil dolls… not in the good way either.

I agree Chasind. This face update was not made with asura (and possibly charr) in mind.

When are asura in mind…

The asuran faces were made to allow our new asian friends to have the same lolicon style they’re used to from other MMOs.

If that’s the real reason, then I might have to give myself a concussion from facedesking.

The male and female faces are identical. In fact.. they are ALL identical. They just gave each face a different type of eye.

This amount of laziness really had me falling off my chair.

Puffy cheeks, baby doll eyes, huge eyelashes, blush, pouty face… it should be pretty obvious. People weren’t exactly fooled by Tera’s “thousands of years old” Elin. They shouldn’t be fooled by these faces.

The faces on the male Sylvari are extremely similar. There is an underlying base face on each of the new ones and then a slight variation of each one.

The three female sylvari faces are all fairly similar as well (and not unlike one of the faces from the previous batch) – leafy bits around the forehead and cheeks and asymmetrical glow line on one side of the mouth. They all have rather unusual eyes which look multicoloured.

I am, however, super-stoked about the freckles!

Hey now, Asura don’t have it nearly as rough as the Charr, where the clipping is so bad that their faces even pass right through their own racial-tier helmets. Here’s a pic with one of the new male Charr faces, shame because it’s the only decent-looking one out of the three.

I agree though. The gemstore faces for Asura haven’t been too great. Thankfully Anet made up for it with the gemstore hairstyles, in which case Asura have the best in the game, bar none.

Is it just me or do the human male ones look like they could be used as an age progression sequence.
One looks like a teenager, another looks like a young adult, and the last one looks middle aged. But the overall facial structure changes little. Wrinkles, scars, and a slightly grimmer expression seem to be all the get added.
