New Geaphics looks awesome!
Like what? I’m at work still
Yah, to what are you referring?
I can’t find any information about changes to the graphics, but I find that everything looks more crisp clear and I have a higher fps.

It was mentioned by a dev they would be fine tuning/scaling down graphics with this patch to allow better performance. So most if not all should see an improvement in FPS

It was snowing in Frostgorge when I went there today. I don’t remember ever seeing it snow there and I go daily for the ori nodes. Is that the new graphics or a new weather feature?
After the patch, graphics look much sharper to me at ultra settings.
any SS for the peeps @ work admire and see the diference?

Maybe not the best though.

Huh. I honestly didn’t notice any difference when I logged in.
Edit: Looking at that screenshot and I still don’t see a difference. I don’t suppose anyone has a before and after shot of the same location at the same time of day?
i… well…
i don’t see things due to culling… and some attack animation from bosses on the gauntlet appear after i’ve been downed…
so i guess my graphic is worse now…

I noticed dyes have changed; Abyss Dye, for example, is no longer chrome-coloured like in the preview window but matte-colored.
Can’t say I like the change; bring back old dye colors, maintain current graphics update.
Patch Notes: (In the open world, dungeons, PvP, and WvW, the new effects-culling system will slowly start reducing the detail of each effect in order to increase combat visibility when many effect types are overlapping. )
This is the only thing listed that is remotely related to “graphics.” I too would love to understand how the graphics were improved from a visual quality perspective.
I noticed a big difference in the huge fights when I was in the pavilion and at Shadow Behemoth. The particle effects of skills are scaled down so you can clearly see what is happening where- it is amazing really.
I was actually able to see to use my skills to best effect- great job Anet
edit: so instead of a seisure inducing light show, you can see-skills

Ah.. I think I see what happened. They added options to the graphics panel and, in the process, altered our older settings. For example, I have Anti-Aliasing turned off normally, but it’s been re-enabled. Most of my settings have been changed, actually.
So, graphically, I don’t think anything changed beyond the scaling particle effects mentioned in the patch notes.. just our pre-patch settings have been altered. You’ll need to go back into the options and make adjustments as desired.
