I would love to have the whole set on my necro.

If they actually release the full grenth set that would make it literally the best looking set in this game…worth any class type..heavy/medium/light..and yes i would actually love a good looking set once in a while

Would look rather ridiculous with Norn, Charr, Sylvari and Asura running around looking like one of them Human gods.

Norn would make it look massive, sylvari would make it look like a human because it’s completely covered. Charr would look like a char..everything apart from cultural looks out of place on them..what do u expect from a horned tiger? And asura are supposed to be goofy by their nature. So everything would be as it should.

No. I mean that Grenth is a Human god.

Charr having their ‘’Charr have no gods’’ and running around looking like a human god will look ridiculous.

Norn having their animal spirits.

Asura believes in the eternal alchemy, seeing everyone else as a lesser race as well.

Sylvari is most likely the only one except humans themselves that would fit since Sylvari has taken the appearance of humans, and they are like children out in the world to learn.

Ah…well that wouldn’t bother me at all considering how dull everything is in this game and how everything lore is related to Scarlet recently…. It would actually be a major improvement and i would go as far as to say that 1 full grenth set would be the equivalent of a major expansion compared to the bottom-low content we got so far.

Not resembling race god-preferences is the least of my concerns personally.

Ahh, who cares. It looks awesome! Would definitely buy the set if it looks like that. (would still need the glowy bits though)

And that dates to 2008, and WOTLK shipped in Nov of 2008, and it’s tier 8 armor didn’t come out until sometime in 2009. o.o

They need to make a helm that gives you a Scarlett’s face and hair. That would be scarier than any Grenth helm.

It’s not too unusual for people to find darkness, death, vengeance and destruction scary. Maybe you’re comfortable with it, but me, well death and destruction makes me nervous at best. ^^

Norns consider the human gods to be the spirits of action. A Norn necro would accept Grenth as a powerful being that has some sort of connection to the spirit world. Norns may not revere the human gods to the same extent as the animal spirits, but they do consider them powerful beings.

Asura consider the human gods to be part of the eternal alchemy. No reason an Asuran couldn’t believe Grenth to be a powerful being that could help lead him/her to a better understanding of the eternal alchemy.

Charr is a stretch, but they do consider the human gods to be powerful beings. Not a complete stretch to take elements of a powerful enemy into your appearance.

Sylvari are really the only ones who don’t completely fit since they as a race haven’t seen the human gods do anything. But then again, taking the appearance of a powerful mythical figure isn’t really a stretch.

This isn’t real life where there is debate about the existence of gods. The vast majority of GW2 beings consider the human gods to be real; just not gods. And just because they may not revere them as gods wouldn’t mean they wouldn’t respect them as powerful beings.

I only see Grenth representing horns, not Dwayna.

The Charr as a race have abandoned their gods, yes. Doesn’t mean that you don’t harness the power of Runes of Dwayna, or use the Trait Dhuumfire, etc.
Besides, if you want to be a Charr with an awesome Grenth-armor, why would the Charr society stop you? If you don’t, just do not use the armor.

And the set would look absolutely amazing on all races imo.

Too bad it looks ridiculous on an Asura. :/ I’ll stick with my Winged Headpiece transmuted over Jatoro’s Mask. Both I like, and are the only two I’ve found that I liked, but alas can only have one. The headpiece wins because covers the green ribbons in my hair that don’t match my color scheme. Not that I’m bitter, but I’m NOT paying for a hair style kit just to change the color of the ribbons. Actually, I find most of the light armor headwear / masks look terrible on Asura. I really wish they would change the ribbon color as part of the wardrobe.

Yeah, the ribbons simply don’t match that color scheme.

You do get a total makeover kit with the massive achievement chest at 5000 and 10,000 points. You can redo it then if you want.
