New Guild System Leaves out Small Guilds
And this is how some concerns get buried, the old thread was on top of the forum for several hours, everyone had valid points and now that thread vanished out of sight.

Well if you have AoW 5 and politics 5 unlocked….I think your looking at about 370,000 influence for the rest of the upgrades. Seems a little steep for smaller guilds.

All the people are joining the big shots now, making the rich, richer and the poor stay poor
shall we break out the violins?
Yes please only if it sounds as poetic as Titanic.
I agree, im leading a small guild of RL friends only(under 10 members) and the new guild missions are completly out of reach to the point we decided we arnt even going to bother with them(like we could have anyways, maybe in a YEAR when we save up enough influence).
They are very obviously content designed only to be used by the elite(large) guilds, splitting the playerbase like this is NOT good for the game it really makes me wonder if Anet has any idea what they are doing. No one wants a divider between the rich and poor.
So the system forces you to pay 100k influence points just to have a guild mission ready to be built? Isn’t that kind of much?

I think so, apparantly Anet doesnt care about small guilds though.
Honestly for a game named guild wars this is especially sad since the game has by far the worst guild system in any MMO that was ever made.

100k? Art of War 5 only requires 36500.

Do not forget the impossible task of getting new members now as players want to join guilds that can already do them!
ok here’s a question i would like answered for economy there was no stuff after tier 5 so why did anet add a 6th tier to it when there was nothing in tier 5?

Yeah my girlfriend said she tried to put up a few adds for the guild to see if we could attract new members but as soon as she does a larger guild will spam a few adds claiming to already have the influence for the new missions making it literally impossible for smaller guilds to attract new members.
Im getting close to the point of just saying screw it with this game.

This is a good point and I’d like an answer as well. My smallish guild did not have Economy V or Politics V unlocked as there was no benefit, and now I see there is STILL no benefit except for access to Economy VI and Politics VI, just a wasted 20k influence.
You people clearly don’t understand things. Guild Wars 2 makes its money through the sales of Gems. People buy said gems mostly to get vanity things. But some buy them strictly to “power-level” their gold supply.
ArenaNet wants as many people as possible to buy gems. This is one such way.
Want that mission? Don’t have the numbers to grind Influence? That’s okay your local Guild Promoter can help. What’s that you say? Can’t afford the 10k Influence? We got you covered, just buy some gems and sell them for the gold you need.

This only works if people do that, what i think is going to happen is just like the nov 15th patch people are going to say screw it this isnt worth it anymore and leave in droves. And then Anet will be making even less money.
They obviously put very little(read that as ZERO) thought into this.
You know what I love about this system? It’s the fact that it’s actually perfect for guild alliances. Really, it should be brought over from GW1 as it will benefit small guilds immensely.
To help the smaller guilds out, when two or more smaller guilds finish content together, there can be an influence bonuses added in, which will be less when large guilds do the same tasks.
In fact, guild missions overall can become bigger, and as such guilds in alliances can make call outs through the alliance and draw guilds together. Not only that, but in WvW guild alliances can also be drawn together and also coordinate.
GW2 is favoring alliances more and more. I have no idea why it isn’t being implemented…
As a hopefully temporary solution, read this https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/guilds/Guilds-too-small-for-missions/first#post1522331. But in all honesty it probably won’t be temporary.
What were GW1 guild alliances like? Was that part of the game, or player implemented?

Guild Founder
Hi everyone,
All your concerns and feedback about the guild mission system must be posted here. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/New-guild-missions-opinions-concerns/page/16. That way we can keep an organised track of said fedback and forward it to the team. Understand please that having a million threads on the same issue does not help us or the forums.
Thanks for your understanding.
