yup and a dark shield too… there is only this “Shining Hero Style Shield” ^^
(we can use Ghastly Grinning Shield but an even more awesome shield like that would be… even more awesome)

Yes …but they don’t fix issues …they add bunch of new content (Living Story patches) that nobody is doing …

Everyone I know in my guild of 500 has completed the Living Story content. Just because you don’t enjoy it doesn’t mean no one does.
Legendary weapons are a good amount of work. They have special animations for all the attacks associated with them, they have the footsteps to animate over different terrain and they have to resolve possible clipping issues. They probably aren’t a TON of work, but they are also probably more then 2 days worth.

While I don’t normally agree with this line of thought, as content design and live content fixes are handled by two different teams with two different skillsets, I do in this case because there is no reason to add content that remains out of the reach of nearly the entire playerbase. The design team is never going to do bug-fixes, they couldn’t if they wanted to, but if they’re going to add content almost anything would be better than more RNG no-lifer trophy content. If they make more legendaries, it better be after they implement the precursor scavenger hunt.

I think there are specialized art teams that work on weapon skins/armor designs specifically. I sure don’t want someone from the audio team trying to fix a progression bug.

There is always Final Rest- it is not Legendary but it is as necro as it gets.
Also Deathwish and the Pact staff is pretty necro-y.
Now if they added Mesmer staffs I’d be all over it :P
They already stated in a previous thread that no legendaries would be added until they improved the way precursors are obtained
I can see this from both sides, but while I’m pleased to see the current focus on polishing up the core of the existing game, we should remember that a large part of the attraction of an MMO is exploring new content, striving to attain new rewards and achievements, and watching the world grow in richness and complexity. There needs to be a balanced approach and in my opinion Anet are actually doing quite well in this regard.
I think adding in a new batch of legendaries once a year would be reasonable, maybe as part of an anniversary celebration or expansion. It would be better if at the same time a bunch of other more accessible new skins were added as well.
