This is just some feedback from my first few weeks of play in Guild Wars 2. Please excuse me if I don’t fully understand later game mechanics as I am still learning.

First I would like to thank Arena Net for giving me a game that I’ve actually been excited to get home and play for the first time in a long time. I played the first GW some but the instanced world never really grabbed me. This game picked me right up and I haven’t been able to put it down.

The Good:

Events: Although there are a lot of them they keep the world from being rather dull running from quest to quest. I like them.

Non-grouped play: This is something I have wanted to see for a long time. Why can’t I help kill a boss in other games if I come across a few players hacking away at it? A+

Individual Nodes: While I haven’t dove into the economy to see if it is okay I really enjoy not having to fight people to be the first to a node.

Class Uniqueness: Also A+. Each class is very distinct and it was hard for me to settle into one as they all had something I wanted but no one class felt like it was over powered with all of the great things.

The Middle -

Crafting: I’m still not sold on the discovery system of crafting however I really enjoy getting experience from my crafting time. Perhaps it will get better as more of the world becomes available to me.

The Bad -

As a Necromancer, pet AI sucks. Not only do melee pets seems to stand around half of the time (Hi Shade), the ones that don’t (Flesh Golem) run off to fight whatever they feel like no matter if it is targeted or not. That is super annoying. Also annoying is non out of combat healing for any pet but the Flesh Golem. I can literally stand there and resummon them without any penelty so I dont see why they don’t naturally regenerate.

Engineers have no passives. I know, passives aren’t exaclty the most exciting thing in the world but they are the only class without any. Thats more of a minor complaint, just feedback.

Boon duration: This may change as I level but I have paid little to no attention to boons thus far (lvl 32) because they all seem to last 5 seconds. Filling a trait tree takes my 5 seconds to around 8 which isn’t really interesting.

Movement Speed in Combat: I get that if I am getting hit I should move slower but it seems like everytime on of my pets (Flesh Golem) engages something that I’m not anywhere near I go to half speed and that is rather annoying.

Patch Notes: Maybe I missed them but I keep getting client updates but see no patch notes in the new section. Perhaps someone can help me with this?

There you go, my feedback for right now. Keep up the good work Arena Net. You’ve created an engaging game that I want to invest time in and in the current gaming environment that is saying something.

i’m not really sure what you mean by this? you mean the f1-f4 keys?

i’m not really sure what you mean by this? you mean the f1-f4 keys?

My guess is signets. Still, there are signet-like traits like the regen with kit out.
