Just imagine this amazing idea with me…
You’re welcome btw!
For suggesting this idea, that will rake in hundreds of millions of dollars and add years of product life, I have some humble requests…
1. I would like an exclusive set of legendary armor along with legendary runes and sigils. No sparkles and such, I like darker themes. Something Vampire themed but not cheesy. Think medium Bladed Armor meets Chiroptophobia greatsword and has a baby.
2. Black bat wings back piece/glider.
3. 3 legendary weapon tokens usable on any generation.
4. A free set of Pinnicle weapon skins.
5. A prominent statue or npc in my honor.
6. An exclusive vampire beast mauler pet for my ranger.
7. Create a full set of black Chiroptophobia greatsword style weapon skins with black bats flying out of them, and make them available through the black lion weapon skin merchants.
Thanks,
Your very humble suggestion servant.

[imagining it]
Are mist dwarves made of mist? They’re just little dwarf clouds floating around? How do they fight? Do they just pour their bodily fluids on their foes?
Just imagine this amazing idea with me…
You’re welcome btw!
What idea? You’ve given us a title but no description.
I much rather see some of the beast races make it into the game as playable. Tengu being a big favorite..
We already got plenty of human-types around :P
Really guys and gals?
You can’t figure out what Mist Dwarves would be? Dwarves hailing from the mists maybe? Get out of the box you are stuck in just a flesh wound!!!
Greyhawk, do I really need to describe Mist Dwarves? It’s a basic idea, from a name, that doesn’t need an essay or more than one sentence to conceptualize. My thread title containing the words “Mist Dwarves” was all that was needed and amazing enough. And contained within those two words is the most incredible idea to ever come out of these forums!
Sadness fills my heart because of you two. So disappointed.

Its alright Swagger, I think Mist Dwarves are amazing!
Thank you Zenleto! <3

Dwarves from the mists? That sounds… unimaginative.
I’m sticking with my dwarf clouds pouring out their bodily fluids upon their foes, thank you.
nah much rather have stone dwarfs and not drag forward old pre stone dwarfs through the mist thanks.
I am 110% behind this idea
To be frank, feels like a bad retcon of the rite of the great dwarf….
Plus with Asura already there for the tiny niche what would these really offer other than facial hair and significantly less intelligence with more drunken behavior.
I do think that what ArenaNet did with the dwarfs was smart in many ways and they should stick to it. If we are going to be getting a new races there are multiple candidates already and besides race in this game has very little gameplay value attached to it. Though, that being said, I would very much like to see how they would address the narrative of adding another race especially one that is not as clearly established as some of the more likely candidates.
more drunken behavior then norns? dont think thats possible
The most interesting thing about dwarves in the Guild Wars franchise is that they went away. They were so stereotypical I couldn’t be bothered to even CARE about the whole Stone Summit civil war thing.

Those would be the Perspiration Dwarves, cousins to Flatulent Dwarves.

It wasn’t perspiration that I was imagining coming out of them onto their foes….

So Mist Dwarves can’t be more civilized, more elegant and have better hygiene than their cousins? Are you saying that all Dwarves are ill-mannered raging alcoholics and that it’s not possible to have family members that are into fine dining, social drinking and casual strolls by the ley lines at night?

Not if they’re cousins to the Flatulent Dwarves, no.
I think Guild Wars 3 needs to be based in a world where the main races are mostly vampires. There are no more central governments, the world is dark and mostly in ruins while there are dinosaurs (cool ones not the lame feathered “raptors”) roaming everywhere. The goal of the PC is to rid the world of the vampire curse (he’s one himself) and from a narrative perspective vampires could solve or at least fix many problems:
1.When a character dies it’s quite sad (assuming they’re good) since their death’s permanence is assumed, as in never ever ever interacting with this character again. Thus, we can see Tybalt and others raised as vampires.
2.Fix some of the gameplay and story segregation.
3.Ceramic zombie Jormag would be awesome! :D In Guild Wars 2 you could defeat Jormag, but he fakes his death and while faking is napping. The Inquest would take advantage of it and kidnap him for further research. Because he lost due to the Pact exploiting a weakness to fire forge for him ceramic plated armor, but a high elasticity form of ceramic that’s engineered to be harder than titanium. After he’s defeated the second time he’s a non-factor until the Guild Wars 3 timeline when him and the other elder dragons are zombies because Abaddon (or some other god) used a McGuffin to raise them. He keeps his armor but it’s improved, refined, and repaired since his last defeat.

Sorry but I think you mist the mark with this one.
Yeah, the guy above you really mist it big time.

That is 220% more dwarf!
Maybe a new Elder Dragon can raise up vampire dwarves but because they have free will are a faction that pull a “good” Sheppard and betray those that revived them whereas another evil faction would stay loyal to the dragon who raised them.

The Elder Dragons will have to raise up a new class of dwarves as they know better than to mess with the Flatulent Dwarves. When annoyed, they can cause a big stink.
So like, are they dwarves from the mists, or are they misty dwarves, oorrrr…and also are they stone dwarves or………

10/10 anet pelase add mist dwraves to the game
They are dwarves that originated in the mists! No retconning involved! You could do all sorts of interesting lore and things with them, sky’s the limit!
