The longest, biggest, most helpful ( to the Dev’s and the community) hub for Trait discussion thread is no longer open to comments.

I guess they prefer a cacophony of smaller harder to keep up with threads instead? so here is mine.

‘We’ll be happy to see a discussion about the proposed changes based on the new information that has been given or will continue to be provided in the future.’

That is what was already taking place as far as I could tell being a daily reader of peoples comments?

Based on what Colin said recently the Traits appear to be rolling out around the time of Hot, but there is still no confirmation as to how close they will be related to Mastery – I think this is something many people want clarity on….

I really want to know when the system will be released, for sure. If it will be with Heart of Thorns, or if it’s going to be sooner.

I’d like to know the “real” reason they killed a thread that had almost 90 pages and was consistently on the front page for 9+ months. I have a feeling that they think we aren’t going to like the changes and want us to forget about the traits system until HoT drops.

The part about wanting to see discussion based on new information that has been given is odd because little or no concrete information has been given. This gives the impression that discussion is not actually desired. Linking to non trait dev commentary for a discussion about traits seems oddly on par with linking to a WvW thread as an excuse to close one asking about wardrobe changes.

…is Pretty much the antithesis of being open to feedback and fostering open channels of communication IMO.
