New areas and world completion
I think the best way to approach is to either:
a.) Take the gold star way until they complete the new zones or
b.) Make the current gold star into a bronze star once new content hits and give back gold once the player explores all the new content.
You’ll be awarded gifts of exploration for exploring the current areas since it would be unfair to people if you required them to buy an expanision to access legendaries, something that shipped with the original zones. Add new rewards for exploring the new areas.
That’s the last thing we need right now. What we really do need are incentive for people to still visit the already existing zones instead of grinding the level 80 ones 24/7.
I think it will be based on what that area “needs” to be. If the general idea is an Orr like place, high lvl, with only events and awesome loot – then there will be no hearts etc.
If its meant to be explorable, then yes.
Then can always add a new tier for world exploration, I don’t think that those who achieved 100% would mind.
Good idea.
The total World completion should be everything, apart from WvW.
Let people get their normal World completion as it is with the old maps, but make a extra reward and new icon for players with everything unlocked.
