So there are new home instance items which have a rare drop chance from a Black Lion chest, this means that my home instance will never get these at all as i don’t buy keys (nor farm them) on a regular basis, all i want is a home instance where i get “all” the things related to it, i’ve worked since the first items were abound to make sure everything you threw at the home instance was mine, now though i can’t get these items mainly because if i do get a key the chances of the new items are slim to none.

Please sell these the proper way from the gemstore or atleast make us do some insane achievements to get it.

You can buy the nodes from the TP. Currently the prices are insane, though. But maybe they decrease somewhat, given time.

I agree with you. Since the introduction of the treasure chest and the RNG necessary to obtain it, I am a little bit annoyed by the fact that I will have to use other players who bought a ton of keys to buy the nodes from them from the TP.

I hope Anet will deliver new nodes directly from the gemstore, and later remove the RNG from the ori etc… nodes they just introduced.

In fact, I would appreciate that Aneth keeps the RNG only for one year, to allow the elitists to be happy with the fact that they are the only ones who has them during this time, and after that allow everyone to buy them from the gemstore normally.

You know… that sounds pretty awesome. RNG has been a hot topic for a while now, and I really like this idea of RNG being a temporary thing for the introduction of certain new items. I wonder what else this temporary-RNG-upon-introduction could apply to. Definitely in favor of this idea, but I have no idea how it could affect the ingame economy.

I agree with you as well; I was actually looking forward to seeing the previous nodes going on a bundle sale over the holiday or just a sale at all. And it’s cool to see that they’ve added rare nodes but after I got burnt on buying keys a few times it’s just not worth it when I can hold out and buy an item that’s guaranteed. That being said I now see buying the common nodes less appealing.

Although. If scraps were gotten rid of and only complete Black Lion Tickets dropped(when they dropped) and didn’t drop any less than do now (Considering the drop rate of scraps into the same ratio as tickets.) I’d then probably buy keys without much guilt.

A friend of mine is particularly disappointed by this addition, he has religiously purchased every node pack, and offers guild members their daily gatherer in his home instance, for which we are all very appreciative.

However, he is now faced with the almost impossibility of completing his home instance nodes, short of spending more than 3x the original amount of gold, but this time for just one node, instead of an entire pack. This would really be a group effort, earning gold and pooling it, to meet this kind of cost, and for what really? One daily achievement point that can be obtained anywhere in the game. It kind of puts things in perspective, I guess.

I personally was, like Mufasa, waiting for a node bundle sale, much like I did with the gathering tools. However, in the knowledge that I won’t be able to complete my home instance nodes, I’m no longer prepared to fork out the cash for the basic nodes. A completionist at heart, if I can’t collect them all, then I’d rather not waste any money at all.

I just bought 150 keys yesterday, hoping for a rare node. Not a single one. I’m not spending thousands of dollars to get these, Arenanet, you hear me? Must break the cycle of spending. “Buying gems. Not even once.”
