It’s incorrect. It will not cure flesh wounds.

ANet may give it to you.
Have you tried it yet? It may project your aura to the stars or something! =P
Iss perhapss oil made for Krait?
Krait doesss not feel different. Was ssupposed to drink oil or rub oil on Krait?
Now I don’t know whether to boot him or drink the stuff.
Dont think spoiler tags work in chat anymore, so… You guys realize what krait look like, right? This is an analog of something in real life.
Doc Halvern used to peddle Krait Oil back in the old Lion’s Arch. I miss him. I guess this Consortium guy has taken over the Krait Oil sales!
This sounded sort of familiar. Searching around a bit I found the quest from Guild Wars where merchants in the Cantha city of Kaineng were selling worthless Naga Oil.
Sample dialog: “You, there! Try a bit of Doctor Jung’s Blood Purifier! The first taste is free! Doctor Jung’s Blood Purifier cures hiccups, acne, Warrior’s foot, dropsy, inflammation, plague, depression, indigestion, constipation, biliousness, and torpidity of the liver. For just 2 Naga Pelts, I will give you the following:”
For those who didn’t play Guild Wars 1, Naga and Krait look very similar.
Either the merchants in Lions Arch have a long memory of selling “Snake Oil” or …….. Cantha confirmed! \o/

Oh, it’s clearly a snake oil riff. My quandary lies in what effect it has on the account (if any) if you drink it vs. you boot him. So I’m hoping someone will say (perhaps in a spoiler bar) what happens if you boot him so I can decide before I forever take a choice. I mean, some of my alts would happily quaff it, others boot him, and others shake their head wisely and move on.

I chose the “get out” option. Doing so made it so I could kick over his baskets/containers of krait oil, while he complained about me doing so. So far, I haven't noticed anything else happen because of it other than the NPC saying "Oh, it's you again" when I come to him on any other character. I'll check him again tomorrow to see if another character can choose to take it/destroy it after a day has passed.
Rose, did you do that followup?
I wonder if this is in some way a sneaky voting mechanism, or a psych study, or something. It seems really odd to put in an account-bound one-choice-forever action with no explanation of why it’s there or what the consequences might be.

How would you even know? You are “Just a flesh wound” not “flesh wounds” — that’s an entirely different account

Yeah, I followed up the next day on a different toon, and I did it again just now. The dialogue option is the same as on the original character. So, it looks like whichever choice you make is permanent across your entire account.
Wow. I’m not going to decide anything until we know more!
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

I know because flesh wounds is a second cousin on my father’s side.
So there.

Or maybe. Just maybe. It’s there for fun and there really are no consequences.
People agonize over “permanent choices” far too much. This is ArenaNet we’re talking about here. The poster children for equity and player opportunity. Being worried yu might miss out on something is probably not something you should lose sleep over in this game.

if you choose to not take it, u kick over his merchandise and can run around to the other baskets and refinery thing and kick them over
So they added a snake oil salesman? Awesome!
Maybe that’s a part of new legendary weapon? There isn’t any info of how to upgrade those pieces of precursor armors is it?
Reminiscent of Naga Oil Salesman in Cantha…hmmm…
Yes… Krait “oil”… I’m sure thats what the Krait said to the Asuran merchant as well, while laughing their kitten s of behind his back.
Enjoy smearing that on yourself.
When you use potion, while having a potion it will give you short poison.
I decided to go deal with this guy at last today. There was no longer an option to try to run him out of town, only to buy his oil. I guess maybe he didn’t get beat up by enough players?
