I have two questions for ArenaNet.

When will we be hearing about the next, new content patch?

Will you be getting back to regular releases or have you scrapped the fortnightly schedule?

Today, LS2 set for July 1st

We’ve heard that the Chinese and US/EU versions of GW2 will be receiving concurrent updates, so can players expect a break in between Festival of the Four Winds and the start of season two to let the Chinese community members get their feet under them?

Zadorojny: The big thing about this festival is that we wanted to really make it feel like it was a huge welcoming celebration but at the same time that it was something that existing Guild Wars 2 players could come back and take the time to enjoy. It’s a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate before we launch into the start of Season 2. Don’t worry; by the end of the festival, you’ll hear more about Season 2.

Waller: Our focus right now is having a great release with Festival of the Four Winds, and hopefully people will enjoy both the Labyrinthine Cliffs and the Queen’s Pavilion. While they’re enjoying that, they should know that before the release is over there will be more information that will make it clear about what’s coming. As a fun note, players who have been carefully watching the progress of the “Festival of the Four Winds” release will be able to find hints that might tease at living world season 2.

The developers are heads-down working on the future content releases. We are also in the middle of launching the game in China. Launching a game in a new country is kind of a big deal. Because of the team’s focus on game development, they are not able to dedicate as much time out of their workday to posting on the forums. While they might have time to read the forums, they don’t necessarily have time to engage in discussion.

I know it’s hard to be patient in this down time between Living World seasons, but please bear with us. As much as you’re craving new content to play, the team is dying for you to play it.

Unfortunately, I can’t give you any information about future content, whether it’s plot spoilers or timeline. I can say that, as a player, I am very excited about the next season, and I cannot wait to see what you all think about it.

Please know that your feedback continues to be important, our devs are still reading (though they may not have time to respond), and we sincerely appreciate your support and you sharing all your thoughts with us (critical or otherwise).

Well, thanks but that’s not really an answer to my question as we don’t know how long this festival will last. A month would be a good guess but it would still be a guess.

Except we were given no end date for the festival. (I’ve went through dev tracker anyways back up to the patch notes and didn’t see one, coulda missed one though if someone can point it out) I think most of us assume it’ll be month long, which appears to be true, since we haven’t heard anything about a patch coming next week (and by the next Tuesday after the patch we used to at least have name/some info).

That’s about as exact as you will probably get until they make the announcement, I would guess.

Maybe you will be fortunate and a Dev will pin down the exact times in your thread, though! =)

Hehe, yeah, and maybe I’ll be judging a snowman building contest in hell.

I appreciate that Inculpatus cedo, but as it’s been a 10 or so weeks since they added any new content their fortnightly schedule is a thing of the past and I hope they announce something soon as the game feels like it’s slowly grinding to a halt.

If you don’t believe any Dev participation is forthcoming, and you aren’t interested in what they have stated previously, what would be the purpose of your question? =)

Well, I am asking in the hope that they will respond but, based on experience, I am not that hopeful.

The best outcome for a thread like this would obvously be to get a response with the date that LS2 will land on but a more realistic outcome (IMO) will be that someone in ArenaNet notes the thread, passes on the question to someone else and it and other similar threads (throughout the various forums) will hasten a response from someone.

They just announced LS2 starts July 1st. Also the Festival of four winds ends on that day.

Ask and ye shall receive! Lol.
