Hey guys,
Not sure if this is in the right part of the boards or not. Sorry if not.

Anyway I’m new and just started, havent even made a character yet. I’m looking too meet some people and pvp heavily. At what lvl can i start that? Anyway, my first Characters name will be MadFry, so look me up.

You can sPvP straight from level 1. Everyone is on equal footing since gear is all the same (except cosmetic)

I suggest you start off with PvE. Learn a few classes, the weapons and all the skill/utilities/elites.

You can do the same in SPvP but it can get overwhelming and daunting just being thrown into the fire.

I can answer the question about when you can start PvP…..as soon as your introductory story quest is over you can go to PvP. As for anything else PvP, I dont know anything about it.

I don’t recall (I’m not a frequent PvPer), but at level 1 aren’t you still missing traits/utilities/elites in sPvP?

Nope, that’s with WvW. In SPvP all your abilities and trait paths are unlocked and you have access to all gear combinations. You do not however have any gear skins, which must be earned by playing and ranking up.

Even footing? If by having an equal chance at beating each other with equivalent gear and stats, then yes. But if you mean balance, that’s subjective.

Once your ‘intro’ is over…click pvp icon at top of screen…click enter the mists…your in pvp land…your level 80 with ALL skills/traits, access to all pvp weapons, other equipment.

Sort your traits, skills, weapons, sigils, runes out…practice on dummies if you want…jump into spvp game.

Takes no time at all really…

Atm necros are at the top in spvp along with rangers (limited builds though). Guardians are usually necessary for every team comp. Thieves are really good too but hard to master. Then you have warriors on the low end. Engineers, Mesmers, Elementalists, are pretty balanced mid-tier.
