Guild Wars 2

Hey I am new to the game and I am having some issues.
I have been leveling some characters to around lvl 10, but I always run into some walls. I never feel like I am high enough level for the tasks in the game. I always do the dynamic events and I complete all the hearts, that are not too high level. Am I supposed just to grind some mobs to get exp, or what do I do? Also is there any indicator to what level the mobs are in the zones.

Secondly, I am not sure what class to play. I do not like the warrior-type classes as I find them pretty dull. I have read on some forums that those classes are the easiest for a new player, is that true? I like to play the caster/DPS classes, but I’ve read those are the hardest to play. Do a class like the elementalist or the necromancer require great knowledge of the mechanics? I am not new to genre, just the game.

Any help will be much appreciated, also I hope this is in the right forum and sorry for any spelling mistakes, my first language is not English.

There are 5 level 1-15 areas one outside each races main city I would suggest jumping between all those which will help you level up. Also buy new equipment every 5 or so levels starting at 10, its not a huge difference but does help as well

if youre finding the step up too much (and it generally is in the areas surrounding your starting zome) then use an asura gate to travel first to lions arch, then the nearby gates to one of the other races starting zones

It dependa on the city but look around for a pink portal looking icon on your mini map and go through that it will take you to lions arch which is the major hub city in gw2 and when you map in there through the portal there will be 4 other portals around you to take you to the other cities
