Did I miss something here??

In one day I sold my 3000 mystic coins. They have been sitting forever never selling and now all sold.

Was there a new recipe that includes them ?

If they’ve been sitting there a long time it’s possible that you were soon and persistently undercut until the undercut supply recently dried up. I don’t know of any new uses, but it’s possible…

I just find it odd I was sitting at 2silver each. All the cheaper ones prior to me would have had to of been sold. There had to Of been over 10,000 of them sold prior to getting to mine.

You dumped 3000 into the market you said, so it’s not unreasonable to expect that a lot more were also dumped into the market in the meantime. You’re one person out of the entire population after all. I’d suspect that’s what happened, and even though you waited longer you eventually got a better price than those that sold more quickly before you.

Yeah you are probably right. I guess I was hoping they released a precursor recipe and it needed the coins. I was going to buy back what I sold just in case.

…lol, i’m not sure it was smart. Nothing about uses of mystic coins has changed lately, and there’s absolutely no hints of them being any more useful in the future as well.

Oh darn….well I guess if it happens I am set. If not I am sure there is a bridge near by.

I wish they would put in more recipes for mystic coins. I’ve got a stack and a partial from doing dailies. Not worth selling and nothing I currently want to make.

The same thing happened with quartz crystals.

This is generally what happens about 1 week before a patch. The internal testers get the information on what is about to be implemented so they use it to their advantage and buy up massive amounts of the things that are going to be used in the coming patch.

You can see it on GW2spidy if you look back. Just find the point the official public announcement of some crafting change was made and look back 3-7 days and you will always see a dip in supply. There’s a thread discussing it in the BLTC forum section.

Yes I read that post as well. I guess I just have to wait and see
