While I am super happy that I have something to spend unused SPs on (thief over 150, warrior over 90), I still have plenty that require SPs to buy the new skills.

I just have one small, simple request. Please do not add more SP worth of skills than there are SPs in the world. I know we can continue to collect by levelling past 80 but… yeesh, for those of us with a zillion alts it will be a nightmare!

My natural reaction to this is why should skills be expensive to purchase, if they wanted a way to drain skill points, the surefire method is add more forge ingredients purchasable with skill points.

At the very least, new skills should be tomes (class restrictions and purchase warning, of course) that you can purchase from a NPC vendor so you can at least choose which character to spend their SP with.

I would like to be able to buy the skills using my main, since I play them the most and have the most skill points on.

Well, I can see why they are soulbound. You could have a brand new character come in with all utility skills (except elites, they’d still have to wait till 30 to unlock the slot) otherwise, rather than progress.

If skill point scrolls were tradeable it would solve the “level grind for SPs” issue, but then would create the issue above – you could come in and just fill up on SPs from the trading post.

I just think it’s going to be a looonnnnggg grind for those wanting to buy new skills on multiple alts.

I’m not referring to previous skills that make up the existing tiered system. I’m referring to new skills whenever they are introduced. They already did it for the Antitoxin Spray, I see no reason why they can’t implement future skills in the same manner.
They are clearly intended to be used in sPvP as well and that’s a problem on a sPvP exclusive character.

Ah, I see. Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, so you would exchange SPs for an account bound scroll which you could then bank and your other characters receive.

Like your ‘main’ paying for a study class for your alt’s skill. Good idea.
