Do you think there is any possibility to have a new PVE tank specialization with the new elites ??

All them look very DPS, exception: Guardian and Necro, they seem more support but I cannot see any “tank” alternative after checking the wikipedia.

What do you think???

There are already multiple capable tanks. But for any non-chrono tank to be viable we need skill balance between different tanks, particularly class buffs.

You can already tank with druid & ele, and some groups do use them, but they are not meta because it is not optimal group composition.

I saw tank druid but not tank ele.

I hope with the new elites we can play with more tank…

There are other tanks, they’re just not viable in raids. It works the same way with healers, Ele and Rev are great healers but only Druid is viable.

This is because the overall viability of a class in a role will be determined by how much they can play other roles at the same time, which is a product of the soft trinity compared to a hard trinity. E.g Druid is the favored healer because they heavily buff the party’s damage, so the combo role gives it to them.

There’s no way around it, meta content will always be like this.
