Guild Wars 2

Hello.I am not sure how much help I will get but I am new to GW2 and seeking a home server that has a decent rp community.From what I have read Piken and Tarnished would be my best bets cept Tarnished is full and I would prefer a American server…..

Well, keep trying for Tarnished Coast. I’ve heard we do get openings now and then. I know there’s another NA server with a smaller RP community on it; if you can find that one, and guest to TC, that can work. We have a fantastic new guild member who is actually not TC but simply travels to us.

Except for WvW, it doesn’t matter as much, anymore, which server you call home. If you join an RP-centric Guild, and/or add RP-enthusiastic players to your friend’s list, you will be more likely to be grouped up with them on any map.

You can, of course, watch the World List and transfer, either at a cost in Gems, or at no cost by deleting all your characters, to Tarnished Coast, if and when a spot becomes available.

Thank you.I selected GoM as my home lol and now TC has opened up -.-.I kinda figured it would happen.Anyway any tips and hints.This game is so different from SWTOR!

Check out the stickies at the top of Players Helping Players. There are some excellent threads there to answer exactly that.

Sadly, the MegaServer has turned the ‘home server’ concept into something that’s basically meaningless for everything but WvW.
