Haven’t played the game recently due to boredom but I am curious what new weapons are out there. Before the game released one of the selling points was that they can release new weapons with new skills etc. How many have been released thus far?

None (and for good reasons I’d say).

They have however announced more skills/traits coming befor the end of 2013.

“We have no first-person view because stupid people would lock into it”
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”

What is the good reason for no new weapons? It can’t be balance unless something has drastically changed since I last played. So what other reason is good for not having more weapons?

Time constraints, most likely.

I don’t think adding new weapons is high on the priority list.

IT’S A SWORD. THEY’RE NOT MEANT TO BE SAFE.

It depends on what you mean by “New weapons” – they’ve released new weapon skins every month or so.

No, real weapons with abilities attached to them. They talked about being able to add these to the game before it released.

The good reason (other than balance) imo is that we have loads of roles/archetypes covered with the current weapon distribution. The more weapons you add, the more difficult it becomes to make them feel and play differently.

Not that I’m against new weapons, or even increasing the range of weapons a class can use (enginers could really use that), but I don’t think it should be a priority. New utilities (especially elites) should take priority, imo.
