Q:
New zones question for community
Hopefully a mix of levels.
Maguuma Wastes would allow lower level maps near Brisban and getting higher the farther west it goes.
Crystal Desert, Charr Homeland and Far Shieverpeaks should be level 80 maps.
If new continents like Elona and Cantha ever get released a range of level should be added.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
If a new race is introduced at the same time new zones are opened up, I’d rather have the same thing we have for Kryta, Ascalon, Siverpeaks, and Maguuma (a 1-15 zone, a 15-25 zone, and at least two more non-level 80 zones). If new races aren’t going to be introduced, I’d like a mix of mid-level zones with one level 80 zone.
I think if all they add is new zones, then I would prefer them to be lvl 80 zones. I’m not sure how they could keep a zone interesting for the majority of the population if it’s a lower level. Unless, they pair the new zone release with new races. They new zones for all ranges of levels would be great. Tengu are one obvious choice as their homelands are literally between already established zones with a range of levels.
While unlikely, I would love it if we got another race that was actually one of the Elder races. Like The Forgotten (opening up the Crystal Desert and allowing us to interact with Glint and possibly fight Kralikatorik) or The Mursaat, or one of the Seers! Heck, I wouldn’t mind playing a Jotun!
They shouldn’t all be level 80.
Not every character in the game is level 80. Odd are good that YOU have some that are not level 80. What if you want to play in the new zone, but you’re also in the mood to play one of your lower level characters? (And let’s be honest, upscaling in this game isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.)
They do need a few more level 80 zones, and to move things like the new wurm encounter there. At the same time, though, they don’t want people to feel that they have to rush to level 80 before experiencing anything new in the game. Making people feel they need to rush through the game is bad, and helps to create burn out.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
