Hello everyone. Can`t choose whom to play . Played WoW paladin , druid , death knight 6 years. Tried to create Mesmer , an engineer. Ranger wanted , but said that the Rangers in pvp is not very good. Help me choose a profession that used in pve and pvp could kill someone . Sorry for bad English , I write in Russian in the translator . If you want to play a ranger, play a ranger. So what if people say it’s not good in PvP? They aren’t you. Plus, you might be the one to break the meta and prove that rangers are just as good as any other class. If after a while you decide rangers aren’t the class for you, at least then you’ll have decided for yourself and can try a new class.

Ranger is not ‘not very good’ in Spvp, it’s arguably on the stronger side of things and actually has SEVERAL builds that work decently (which is unheard of for gw2 where every class is pigeon holed into one viable build in spvp).

Your profession does not matter in pve. There is virtually no exclusive pve content (high level fractals? Teq-type events? Uhm..that’s about it) in this game, and raids may or may not be coming in about a year from now. For 99% or more of PvE, you can do fine with any class without putting any effort into it (although you will go faster if you do).

The classes are fairly distinct from wow. Paladin? A guardian is a close match, but so is elementalist or even ranger in a support-type build. Druid? No close match, probably ele if you played feral.

Advise anyone to choose from guardian, warrior or ranger for utility in sPvP. Harder to kill someone or damage to someone weak ?
