Kinda confused.

it states:- Please ensure that you’ve signed up for our newsletter so that we can contact you!

We’ve been asked about whether you must be a newsletter subscriber to get access to the beta test. Signing up for the newsletter is not required to be given access to the beta test. However, to get beta schedules, instructions on how to access the test, or any other beta-related information, you will need to sign up for the newsletter.

Anyone who finds a Portal to Maguuma’s Heart will have access. A certain number of testers will be selected from the newsletter subscriber list. So as you can see, being a newsletter subscriber has a dual benefit: You increase your chances of getting into the beta test, and you receive direct communication about the test and its schedule.

Looks like some will be disappointed as its a random pick from the—er, random portal drops. But from a purely personal perspective, I do not want to sign up to the news letter (Im kinda paranoid about handing out my e-mail address when they already have it ‘twitch twitch’). If that means no Beta, so be it, no loss but would have been nice to have had a look

If you have a portal you will be able to play the beta. If you don’t have a portal some people will be randomly chosen from those that signed up for the newsletter. Even if you got the portal you should sign up to get the exact schedule times, but you will be able to play the beta without signing up.

If it’s like the last beta you’ll get another character slot beforehand and at the time of the beta you’ll be able to make a level 80 Revenant and then appear in the beta testing area. So, as long as you have the portal, which is your invite, and you know when the beta starts, you’re fine.

But yeah, if you have teh portal, you have teh access, when there is teh access. If not, your second chance at teh access is win teh newsletter RNG beta access thingy.

This is interesting. I don’t have one yet. I wonder if its a slow roll out or something else since I got my email.

Uh-oh! Didn’t sign up for the newsletter, did ya?!
Or you didn’t scroll the slot selection if you have more than 7. Mine is here on slot 9.
j/k about the news letter, I don’t think it matters… don’t think… But yeah you should see the slot marked beta.

Yeah I signed up after I got my Portal. Maybe it’s because I have too many. Or because I’ve been on all day…
