What do you think about something like newspaper (weekly/monthly news) in the game, where you can read about new items in BLC or new Living Story. I know we have GW2 site, but i don’t follow it and don’t wanna refresh it all the time. I’d like to see something in game that pops up with news.

Imagine skritt, running around each city with newspaper screaming: Extra! Extra! Read All About It

Give newspaper name and you have a good announcement/ad system, maybe:
Quaggan Express, Lama Express, have you got some types?

What are your feelings?

Interesting idea.
I was thinking that this is what the new Journal was supposed to kind of cover but I guess that is more PS and LS1&2 stuff.

I just picture a little Skritt on a bicycle chasing me around yelling “Where’s my 2 gold pieces”

That was done in GW1 already by some fans.

WvW News please?

The login screen already contains direct links to the website news articles. No need to refresh the site, just check it whenever you start up the game loader.

But when you are already in game you can’t use loader, and you don’t know about news that poped few sec ago.

In this way they can add, more things about story too, the parts that you need to ask on forums and usualy don’t get the answer, npc interview, what NPC are doing atm, rumors, even unreal stories… I don’t ask for tons of text, one page with txt nad some pictures would be nice.

Most of the time when I am doing story I ask to myself: Who the hell was this person? New NPC name, new face, no info at all just from the sky blank page NPC, enjoy it…box of puzzles in which there is no space to put them all…

WvW infos who won last mach-up, and yes i know mos millenium, but it’s still site.

But where would this newsboy/girl be? Unless the newspaper hawkers would be ubiquitous, it would be no different than the launcher….in one place you would visit for the ‘news’.

I would not want it to pop up in front of me while I’m playing but a better way would be to buy a newspaper from an NPC. I think it would be cool to have a small child selling papers for a few copper in cities, towns, and outposts. But is there really a need for this, I’m. not sure there is. There are to many ways to get this info outside of the game and also at the start up screen.
