Looking back, the Winter Quarter release was the 28th January (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/january-26-2016/) — do we think the April Quarterly Update will also be towards the end of the month, or sooner? And what would you like to see? (:

Chances are it will be on April 19th, end of PvP league 2. They did so on 26 th January when season1 ended on the 25th.
As for the content, they said they mostly focused on HoT maps reward flow. They also talk about a first part of WvW revamp going beta and some WvW specific balance but I’m not sure if target was this update or the next one.

Actually it’s all speculation until the client starts downloading.
but if I have to pick a date, I’d say “soon”.

This week we’re completing dev work and starting integration for the upcoming Spring Quarterly Update, which we’re preparing to launch in mid- to late April.

Unless there are any oddities, it should be 19 April – 13 weeks after the Winter update.

I’d like to see the timers completely removed from the meta events in HoT maps. I’d like to see those map events work the same way SW’s do – you finish all the pre-req events and the meta begins.
