Next Update is about ... ?
I think it’s about four weeks from now.

Point is, we don’t know yet because Arena.net is taking their time with these updates coming up (I don’t understand, I thought they didn’t listen!). So the “coming up” period is different this time around because said content isn’t “coming up” as quickly.

Quote from that page:
“Our first release in the new year will be on January 21 as we begin our countdown to the end of this story arc. We’ll use the longer break to spend extra time to ensure that our final four releases are as polished and exciting as possible.”
You’ll find out what is in the next patch about a week before, around January 14 or so.
There won’t be any more patches in December.

The next 4 releases are being extra-worked on, meaning expect something impressive.
And it’s been hinted, especially with end of the story arc, that we’re going to be done with Scarlet and can finally move on after those 4 releases basically.

And it’s been hinted, especially with end of the story arc, that we’re going to be done with Scarlet and can finally move on after those 4 releases basically.
As I have before, I feel the need to point out that they’ve only hinted that we’ll be done with Scarlet. Yes, the story arc will be over, but that doesn’t mean she’s going away or dying. Even if she “dies”, there’s no promise that she won’t return later.
I truly hope she’s gone for good, but if we still have the same writers making the LS after this arc, I expect her to show back up sooner or later, somehow.
