It takes the story of the last year and brings it all together. It makes it clear where everything has been going and really closes a lot of open questions that players have had. It’s a story that really affects the entire world and permanently creates content and change for the entire world game-wide, which is really something that’s important to us and we want to showcase that that’s where stuff is headed.
Hope it means we’re getting some permanent content this time around, I’ll wait and see, I guess..

I was thinking this when I first made all my 8 chars on day one of early release. But now there is sooooo many minis in game already and it’s not even a year old yet! So now I’m hoping it’s something totally different, who knows maybe the introduction of mounts. :P

Chances are it will be something like a new skin for town clothes or something equally cosmetic. I don’t mind that too much.

To which I do agree a bit, we have a lot of minis. I just enjoy collecting and selling the extras.
If they went with town clothes, normal looking seasonal ones, again that would be interesting. Then again I’m still waiting for some sort of wardrobe storage like LOTRO has. There’s so much potential there especially with the hardcore RP folks.

With all the availability of minis, skins, and mats/armor sets/fluff stuff, my dream b’day gift would be a reward that doesn’t involve RNG or something that’s already available in-game. It wouldn’t really be a “special” gift if it were something I could get by gems or gold.
So, my dream gift would be something like maybe an account bound UNIQUE set of armor (so I could use it on any character without soulbinding it) or UNIQUE weapon skin (account bound like the armor) so that when someone sees it, they know it can only be obtained with age. I would hate to get my special birthday gift and then see them on the trader for [insert gold amount here.]
oh, and if it HAS to be a mini, the same would apply…something you can only get with age, and not ever see it for sale or obtainable in game.

When I had mine pulled I only had issues with 1 of them but they always recommend to pull them all if you can as it solves a lot of probs later on, or so they say. It’s usually also cheaper to have them all done at once rather than in separate cases. Anywho – enjoy the meds! :P

Lead content designer says that he’d love to go back to Elona and Cantha. I like that guy, keep him around Anet. Doesn’t matter when, just so long as we know it’s coming eventually =)

I won’t be surprised when this never before seen stuff has been seen before. Of course, I correctly predicted that we’d get another month of fighting aetherblades, though they’ve kind of taken a back seat this time around.

I don’t understand why Anet continues to say “Soon” when it comes to their new content. It over-hypes like you said and just makes players unhappy in general. If I were in Anet’s place, I would give people the bare minimum knowledge of incoming patches and then save the best, most world-changing content for last. That way, players would think it’s just another small patch until they see the large content later. That would solve the over-hyping.

While that doesn’t bother me to the same extent & I think Anet did a good job of info control when they MADE the game, there are several things that have been on the “upcoming changes” list for more than 6 months. 6 months… that’s crazy.

If its minipets make the tradable if not they are useless as account bound, if its something else make it useful and something my whole account can get time with..
A transforming weapon that can shape change into any weapon i need at the time and the stats change like a legendary, now that’s a present worth having..
