Unfortunately my first thought when I saw PoF was Promise of Failure. I can’t say I really liked a lot of HoT so while I have no doubt I will get the expac, I’m not that hyped up about it.

Sad to say, I’m the same.
I’m hoping that there were numerous lessons learned and stable leadership to produce the upcoming expansion, and hope is the reason I’m willing to buy into it.

GW2: Practically on Fumes.

The name of the final episode being “One Path Ends” makes me believe pretty strongly that the “P” in PoF stands for path. I think they’re definitely playing on the phrase “One path ends, another begins”. As one “path” (LS3) ends, another “path” (expansion 2) begins.

The “o” is probably Of. About the only thing it could be other than or, but that wouldn’t make any sense with Path.

The “F”? Flame. Fire. Forgotten. Some character they introduce or call back to with a name that starts with “F”. There’s a lot of possibilities.

Using that image from That Shaman I think I’ve deciphered the name. The Devs can’t think of a iconic color for the expansion and are using the name of the new expansion to ask us

The P will obviously be “Path” judging by the trailer called “One Path ends”, implying another will begin and I’ll speculate that it will be one of “Flame”. Path of Flame. Or Fire.

I am personally leaning toward Path of Fire or something another person in one of my guilds suggested: Pillars of Faith. Path of [fire| seems more likely now though after the name of LS episode 6 “One Path Ends” (and another begins).

More likely ‘Path of Flames’ as it’s more story-driven. “Flames” has also has multiple meanings. i.e. the flame of romance between Kasmeer and Marjory. Flames grow and dwindle in strength, etc.

It’s not like this is a serious thread (for the most part). If the PoF is for the 3rd expansion then it’s probably a placeholder that will be replaced later with a real name, which means it’s wrong no matter what the title is.
