hello fellas,

after watching a lot of tutorials on youtube still couldn’t understand how to NOT GET SCREWED in my choice of skills.

look at the pic i’ve attached. I’m a warrior using a bow a swapped weapon and haven’t used almost any skill slots :/

my question is – are the skills I choose get connected to each other under each fast-key (6,7,8…). because what’s the point of upgrading other skills if I can choose only one in each quick-slot??

hope I’m understandable!

thank you in advance!

I dont want to reply to this :-)

The weapon used is as strong as the person itself.

Skills are upgraded trough traits, and the skill tree you see is simply for unlocking higher tiers of skills rather than upgrading the ones you already have.

Don’t worry about wasting skill points on random skills; skill points are increasingly easier to acquire as you level up and explore.

Golden shackles are still golden.

unlock all the skills you will eventually find yourself with 3 armor sets in your bag anyway and you will roll between different traits and utilities based on what your doing.

One reason to buy other skills is because different situations need different skills. For example, my guardian uses wall of reflection a lot in dungeons but rarely in other PvE areas and I use the 2 skills that give a speed boost when I’m getting from point A to point B then switch out to combat skills when I get there.

Another reason is to switch out for variety in playing. If you play for a long time and never use any but the first skills you chose, that could be boring. A third reason, if you don’t try them out you will never know if they suit your play style better than what you have now.

I’ve seen pictures of other people utility skills for different professions and it’s almost never the same as my set. You’ll never know if the others are better for you till you try them.
