Nicholas the Traveler

It sort of says at the bottom of that page. Him and the yak are buried in Ebonhawke. I’m going to log in now and see if I can get you a screenshot. Hold on tight there!

Aaaaawh…
I would love to see him or his ascendants return though.

You know we have to get him canonized into being a saint of Dwayna. It must be done.
Maybe a future Wintersday could introduce a new character traveling with another dolyak to take up the reigns… Sort of like a wintersday “advent calendar” to follow that person around… Don’t need the same ol’ Tixx for the nth time anyway, would much rather have a nice story.

this is something I would very much enjoy seeing them bring into GW2, Anet should consider this imo. Encourage people to buy more storage space.
Plus they drop their fair amount of trash/junk loot trophies that could be put to good use. You got 50 needles/fins/broken picks/etc., you get a Gift of the New Traveler.

They already have the perfect candidate for the new Traveler. Go check him out sometime, listen to his dialogue. nHe even has a Yak friend next to him.

Ameranth should be GW2’s version.
It would be kind of neat seeing her and her hound all across Tyria.

She was supposed to travel all over, but so far I’ve only ever seen her in the Black Citadel. Not that I blame her, it’s a wonderful place to stay, but I think she bugged there and they never bothered to fix her.
It was one of the most fun community events around that brought extra money to people who enjoy farming, and literally made people to go explore the world and scout maps in every nook and cranny.

I think they should make for this a new iconic NPC.
One, that is of none of the playable races (and should stay after that also unplayable), one that is of a completely new race never seen before and that will tell players more and more lore tidbits so more you bring that NPC loot, that he/she wants.
I’d find for example a Skritt very good as a Traveler, that is on the Eternal Search for the “Ultimate Shiny” all over Tyria.
That SKritt, whos following an ancient Skritt Tale, that if he manages to collect from all over Tyria 1 Million Shinies, that all of these shiny treasures will be together so radiant, that they will show the Skritt traveler the way to the shiniest path to paradise, where the Ultimate Shiny will await the most courageous of the courageous adventuring Skritt a Skritt could ever dream of.
The Ultimate Shiny, that will bring fortune and wealth to the Skritt as also luck and ..what not all xD ect pp.
Something along the line of this I’d like to see as a lore for that Skritt that travels all around tyria to collect all of the worlds Shinies until he gets together enough to open the Path of Radiance to find the Ultimate Shiny in the Skritt Paradise.
The player, that brought that Skritt the 1 Million Mark Shiny will receive a special Reward, after then the Shiny Counter of the Skritt will get resettet and he starts his journy again ,cause all that shiny brighness of the Ultimate Shiny was too much for that Skritt, it cause the Skritt to suffer on Amnesia and this restarts basically thet huge environmental World Event that permanently repeats itself…
I’d name that NPC:
Prittchette, the Shiny Huntress
Yes to the traveler!!!! I was broken hearted when I found his name on a tombstone… But oddly reassured his faithful friend was there with him.
I have to admit, seeing Nicholas’s grave in Ebonhawke, alongside Yakington’s much larger grave, was one of the most emotional moments I’ve ever experienced in a video game
lol, yes sure xD As if people would really cry tears over an unimportant NPC.
There was seeing the grave of Gwen and Keiran alot more emotional, than this xD
Or at least nostalgic, if you look at all of this more objectively, when just some pixels can’t make you emotional

People get emotional over fictional events happening to fictional people in television and film. I don’t see this any differently. Certainly they aren’t crying about something that happened to the actor, but it’s the idea of that occurrence that elicits an emotional response. We live vicariously through TV, films, and video games.
