I was waiting the whole month for the sale of Character Slots.

We’ve got some good sales, but character slot’s was my hope.

But I did not get what I wanted and some of my Guildies are disappointed too.

A-net is very frugal with character slot sales. Think they had one in August of last year, and again for three days at the New Year.

I was hoping they would hit today, too. I have plans for three. I guess I’ll break down and get them, while still hoping for the sale to carry over into April and I can get a refund.

The ability to pay for gem store items, in part or in full, with in game earned currency rather than just real world money means that they are always on sale, sort of.

Yeah, but I’m cheap with my gold as well as my cash (gems). :O

Oh, and I have not yet traded gold for gems. I’m at that point in my life where buying 2000 gems every once in a while is not an issue.

I know how you feel. I remember one year when they announced the anniversary sale in August I decided I’d buy a bank tab when they went on sale. I finally got it in January.

Bank tabs and character slots don’t go on sale often, probably because Anet knows people will buy them at full price (although some of us are stubborn and insist on waiting for a sale). Unfortunately that means you can’t count on them being discounted even if everything else is going on sale.

I was in the same situation, and last night i gave up and bought a slot. If today is the last day of the sale…..those are some pretty bad items lol. I wonder if they will continue into the weekend. Then if the slots go on sale ill ask for a partial refund. So broke in terms of in game gold….so had to pull out the good old credit card. If this means ill stay home on a friday night , its totally worth it. 13$(800 gems) vs – 50-100$ at a bar tonight. Ill choose the 13$

I’m glad. It saved me money because I would have bought some on sale. Those are one of the things I actually break out real money for instead of gold to gem conversion. However, it’s not worth full price to me. I’ve only bought them when they were 30% off or more.

I was also hoping for a sale too, but bought one anyway when it never happened.

I don’t understand why they don’t put them on sale more often. There always seems to be alot of people who save for these sales and then stock up when it happens, buying multiple slots. Well, I guess they are profitable enough as it is.
