102% Crit Chance and still only get 6/10 crit hits. Game working as expected, good job anet.

If you’re in a downscaled zone, your crit chance still drops since your precision is initially downscaled as well. You may wish to post more information about your problem rather than a drive-by whine about the mechanics.

There are also some traits that prevent critical hits like:

Or effects that cannot critical hit:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mug

And objects that cannot be critically hit like gates and many destructible objects in pve.

Given that your “No crits” is actually a 60% crit rate the posts above seem likely explanations.

Or perhaps it’s just RNGs and someone somewhere with only 05% crit chance has just had 47 consecutive critical hits…

There are also some effects in the game that can’t crit like the hits from on crit sigils.
