No Gem Cards at Gamestop?
I get mine at Best Buy.
As a Game Stop employee, stores, at least in my district, no longer carry them.

Why buy outside the game, can you find them cheaper?
There is absolutely no evidence to support that it would.” -AnthonyOrdon

Yeah I’ve noticed this too. The two stores that sold them, one only has a hand full left, and the other has stopped selling them. Which is a pain, as family.members would buy them for me as birthday and Christmas gifts. Oh well, ANet is the one losing out.

For others, some things are best left off the credit/debit card reports. Less arguments that way. ????

Is there any discount or bonus to buying them that way? I’ve never seen any but I’d hunt them down if there was perks.

Use paysafe, that works pretty good and you get it almost everywhere. Works simple. You buy a certain value…lets say 50 bucks (you can buy less and more too), you get a code, you go to https://www.paysafecard.com, make an account, type in the code you get and you got credit as much as you bought. Then you go into the gemstore where you buy more gems, select paysafe as your form of payment, follow the steps that direct you to your paysafe account…where you may or may not need to log in again and just click “pay”. A-net gets the payment and you instantly get your gems. I started using that cause also my gamestop does not sell gemcards anymore…and im actually more happy with that system cause you can use it on many other sides too and you dont need any bank data or credit card to do it… just hard cash
Try Best Buy or Target.

thats my problem. I dont get them anymore arround where i live…trust me i checked everywhere. Paysafe is really a solid option if you really cant access a credit card or gem cards. Isnt much different anyways.. cept that you can use your budged in theory on other stuff aswell, i also use paysafe to pay amazon bills when i order something for example.

Not that I’m aware of. I think it’s just an option for people (like myself) that would rather pay in cash.

Just went to game stop. there is no way to get Gems outside the game from them.
Is it like that for others?
I just saw them at two different stores.
None of the retailers ever know how to deal with gem cards (or similar items):
- They order a few, not sure how many will sell.
- They don’t sell right away, so they don’t order more for the next period.
- The ones they have sell all of a sudden, so…
- The store ends up without any and without any on order, so the clerks say, “we don’t carry it”
It’s hard to tell the difference between that scenario and when the store really doesn’t carry them anymore. This happens at target 3-4x/year, so I’m guessing it could have happened at GameStop too.
Having worked the Electronics section at Target for many years, I can attest to the above scenario. Be aware, those that work at the bigger chain store(s) (even the managers) are not the ones who place the orders, and as such, are really only cognizant of what’s in stock on the shelves, or in the back of the store. If said store site runs out of cards (or other oft-replenished merchandise), they can only rely on what the hand-held computers tell them. And that is only what there store has in stock, and/or what other stores (of their chain) in the neighborhood have in stock. It’s policy to inform the customers that the item is out-of-stock, and unless said clerk/associate has worked there quite some time (which often is not the case), they won’t know the item ever was stocked.
Thus, it is best to either just keep checking, or use an online site, and have said item shipped (either to you or to the store nearest you).
Good luck.
Amazon (US) has them and even my grocery store sells Amazon gift cards which you can buy with cash. Yes it’s a terribly round about way but whatever works.
