No Guild Wars 2 Korea?
Probably because ANet, the original company, is an American company which was acquired by NCsoft 2 years after start up. ANet is the ones making Guild Wars.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ArenaNet
“The founders of ArenaNet were former employees of Blizzard Entertainment who played important roles in developing the highly successful video games Warcraft, Warcraft 2, StarCraft, Diablo, Diablo II, and the Battle.net gaming network. They left in February 2000 to form their own company. Their new studio was briefly called Triforge, Inc. before changing its name to ArenaNet. The company was acquired by NCsoft in 2002. On 10 September 2008, NCsoft announced the formation of NCsoft West, headquartered in Seattle, Washington. ArenaNet founders Jeff Strain and Patrick Wyatt left ArenaNet to take roles at NCsoft West in 2008, and ultimately left NCsoft in 2009. The only founder left is Mike O’Brien.”
Someone else who has a better understanding of business may post to explain better or correct me, but it’s my understanding that a company such as ncsoft buys other companies and then finances their work for a cut of the profits and that they don’t direct where the work goes.
ANet may give it to you.

I know anet is an american dev company, but didn’t GW1 had Korean localization? Looking at the language settings, there are no Korean translation of the game. Is NCSoft, the one directing anet, underestimating the Korean market?
The South Korean version was cancelled because they couldn’t animate Gangham Style in Sync with Char or Sylvari and no one took the Elder Northern Whacko Dragon seriously.
~Dr. Seuss
Speaking of dragons, are all the dragons accounted for? Were the precursor races able to defeat all of them, or did the dragons “sleep” on their own volition? I wonder what really happened, and the arrival of the ‘gods’ just after the dragons returned to their slumber is highly suspect. Do note that humans “came from the west” from Guild Wars 1 lore. Maybe the early human settlers were refugees from a dragon invasion in the western continent. Did humans know magic before they reached Tyria, and their magical capabilities were just enhanced by the ‘gods’? Jotuns are said to be the first ones to be blessed by magic by the ‘gods’, what made them choose humans instead? Maybe they were already showing signs of magical capabilities, such as the skritt showing potential to become a formidable race in future. Maybe humans were weak back then but had potential, and can be compared to the present day skritts, looked down upon by the other races, but is showing lots of potential for ingenuity (as a side note, the charr were once the ‘skritts’ back when giants still roam Tyria, as was revealed in LS2).
There are 2 big reasons.
1. No proper package(one-time payment) online games in South Korea . usually monthly payment or partially payment only.
NCsoft is not a angel. They don’t wanna change S. Korea market system… They earned money a lot with monthly payment
2. GW1 failed in Korea.
There was Korean translation of the game. but never used and There’s no recent version translation.
