This topic is NOT about the temporarily missing watchknight minis.

I was unable to beat Liadri in the Queen’s Gauntlet, and get the Liadri mini… so there is now a permanent hole in my minipet collection ;_;

Yes, I mean permanent. Because even if they bring back Gauntlet in the future, I will not be going anywhere near it.

So where I would have rejoiced at the prospect of 46 new minipets to collect, before the Queen’s Jubilee… now I find myself with no further interest in minis.

I understand the frustration, I’ve tried to beat her well over 100 times and haven’t managed it, but I don’t understand giving up and then acting like it’s Anet’s fault.

You know the gauntlet isn’t gone yet, right? It’ll still be there until september 3rd, you just need to complete the portal to kick Scarlet out and you’ll have access to it again.

It’s behind the story event, which I agree is poor design, but it is still there.

I refuse to try again if they bring back Gauntlet. I am not going to put myself through that kind of frustration again.

And there is no point in me collecting minis any more, when that collection will always be incomplete… so you could call it a “refusal” to collect more minis, but really, it’s more like a sudden lack of interest.

I’m not “acting”, I’m not saying it’s A-net’s “fault”, I’m not pointing fingers. I’m just saying that I’m not interested in minis any more, and the reason is my failure to beat Liadri.

Really? Well, it doesn’t matter – as I said, I ‘m not going anywhere near it in future. I’ve given up trying to beat Liadri. It’s bad for my health.

That being said we should have gotten a ticket for a really cool weapon skin and a tittle.

Not a mini that IMO is a pretty lame one anyways.

So what is the point of this thread? This isn’t your blog.

The Liadri mini is literally the only one that I care about, because it is more than a simple “grind or pay money to get” mini. The game needs more stuff that doesn’t simply require mindless grinding, or cash-to-gems-to-gold to acquire, as that sort of stuff feels somewhat hollow.

I was never interested in minis. There, I have FINALLY told everyone!

I have many holes in my achievements and bank now. I wasn’t even here for some of them, or I refused to grind it out.

My best advice is to deal with it. It’s a very useful thing in life.

Glad to see Anet spreading that love around. Happened to me back in F&F when I ran that dungeon 40-50 times and no drops. I quit for 2 months. I quit caring about event titles or the rewards from them. Welcome to the club!!

I love the way they set the reward for that mini though. I get to see the tears from all the players that tell casuals to grind gold for rewards or buy and trade gems. Or even better the guys that say they don’t play for rewards crying about it.

Let’s spell it out for the hard-of-imagination:

The powers that be might want to consider reactions such as mine for future events, because if they became widespread, it could impact the gemstore.

I know the feeling OP, I don’t like to have holes in any collection either but since I joined in December it is inevitable. I learned to brush it aside but if you decide to not get any minis because of a single hole, it is your decision, whether others may think it is asinine or not.

That being said, the overall tone of this thread is more of a personal thought, thus I see a lack of reason to post it here, but whatever.

i feel same if i cant win vs liandry whit 8 orbs hits thac the final thing that i need i would stop play gw cuz i was playing for accivments only and if i miss one i will not go on

after 10 tries there should be no reason whatsoever to fail P1, that is to say if you do fail it you know EXACTLY why you did and what you need to do different to pass P1.

P2 is much more tricky, that said aside from camera misshaps, and VERY unlucky pulls (if you are pulled…you should be able to res yourself within 2 seconds no excuse) its similar to P2, may take you 20 or so tries to get this down.

If it takes you more than 50 tries, then you are not paying attention or making ANY effort to learn the fight mechanics.

Its just something that takes effort and doesn’t allow better players to carry you through like all the dungeon content since there’s no mod meters or gear checks, I’m not going to lie… i took full advantage of this fact when i was a noob especially in fractals.

To be fair, that did seem to go away pretty fast.
