No RP servers? That’s pretty pathetic.
What are the unofficial Rp servers?

Tarnished Coast for US, not sure about EU.

I’ve been trying to get onto Tarnished Coast for 5 days now. Always full.

Thankfully I’m in Europe haha

Sadly, i was on Piken Square for a few weeks (as i am at heart a roleplayer), and found little or no roleplay :-( .
Was the usual in game chat garbage about rl (what people are doing that night, how several guys wanted to ‘bang’ their female avatars!?! etc…) So tip is-even on Piken is to find a dedicated role play guild and ONLY roleplay in guild chat…
If you try RP chat outside of your guild, be prepared for ‘’lol noob/geek/ get a rl gf etc…’’ – i got bored of it and joined Gandara .. and roleplay with my small group,

Friend on the server found quite a bit of roleplay all over the world apparently o: really hoping it isn’t that vicious towards Rp’ers :/

It’s the same on TC, if you are a hard core RPer you will want to join a dedicated RP guild.

At least it’s not like the WoW RP server where all they do is kitten in the deep run tram.

I’ve seen a fair amount of RP on Tarnished Coast, most often in taverns in the major cities. I’ve not seen people hassling them either, just pretty much ignoring them and running by if they’re not RP’ing themselves.

Yeah, that’s the only reason I’ve quit and the only reason I used to play wow. I played it simply for the Roleplay.
But it was always in the same area of the world.. Silvermoon, stormwind etc.

I feel your pain, Gw2 is selling themselves short by not at least giving the option for alternative rule sets, they need Rp servers, and open PvP servers at least 1 each IMO.

It’s fun to jump in their RP session in RP mode as well. :P and see where it goes. It’s even better when you have a char named “Trahearne” :P

Unfortunately the unofficial RP server happens to be a highly ranked server, therefore making it near impossible to transfer onto due to all the people who have already transferred onto it due to chasing winning WvW servers.

Just flat-out not true. I got in with no problem after 1 day of trying. My friend got in when she bought the game. I know at least a handful of others that have joined over the past few days. The population constantly fluctuates and you can always get in if you just keep checking.

Really hoping to find some roleplay on this game, I was sure gw2 was gonna be a great RP game.
