According to dulfy’s latest update there will be no Zenith weapons available for Engineers. No pistols, no rifles, no shields. I understand this is just in the first 3000AP, but why should literally every other profession have access to a Zenith wep at only 1000AP (and another at 2000) while we are left with nothing? dulfy also has screenshots and video of apparently every weapon, including pistol, rifle, and shield from her beta. How many AP do I need for those?

I havent really checked out the options but if what you say is true, and I dont play an engy, that is BS for you guys.

So much for quality 2 week patches.

I’m pretty sure you’ll get to choose from all of them – it seems like only those 5 were enough to fit in the preview window, and the rest are just pushed out to the side (notice the “…” at the end of the skin choices).

Of course I may be wrong, but at this point NOONE knows for sure what will or will not be available tonight!

Engi’s are the red-headed stepchild of this game. I’ve said this before, Anet really doesn’t ever play engineer. If they did we’d have hobosacks toggled, we’d have legendaries patched into our kits, we’d have more skin options for the THREE weapons we can use, and we’d use shotguns instead of holding sniper rifles as shotguns.

Say what? I could of sworn there was a pistol in Dulfy’s preview video.

To be fair, they still haven’t fixed the issue of engineers barely ever seen any different weapons, since weapon kits aren’t affect and never change skin…. So, meh. I have 7 other characters to worry about.

And I was actually planning to invest in a new pistol and shield just for those skins…..

Seriously Arena Net, why do you flat out hate engineers? You created the freaking profession, show us a little respect!

If you look at the screen, in the spot where there’s room for a 6th weapon there’s a “…”

You’ll have access to ALL the weapon types to choose from.

I think the first thing I’m going to unlock is the pistol for my engineer. I like the flash when it fires, nice little fireball.

Just saying, go to mists and you can already preview the whole set.

And it’s all there.

The problem with dedicating a weapon for an Engineer is that 9 times out of 10 an Engineer isn’t using said weapon. Engineers more or less use their kits all the time. Those kits replace their weapons. It’s the same reason why, as an Engineer, it would be foolish to go for a Legendary weapon.

If you page down below the screenshot to the chart that was added later, it lists the specific weapons to choose. Which is why I was alarmed today and not on the 8th when the inital post came out saying there were more. That was beta, this is live.

While this is true of Engineer weapons, it’s still unfair to include at least 1 weapon for every profession except Engineer. Shield & pistol can be used by 2 other professions.

If this turns out not to be the case then I of course retract my original post and apologize for my apparent “fanboy-ness” while zapping stuff with snazzy pistols.

I’m an Engineer and feel your overall pain.

But I do believe that ALL weapons types will be available. Not just the five listed in the chest preview.

Hobosacks infuriates me way more than legendary issues. I’m fine with my Quip only being visible about 25% of the time. I can live with that. Wish it would change, but it is something that I have learned to live with.

I HATE not being able to sport any type of backpiece.

But those issues are a whole different topic!

what u mean ther is no zenith gear for engineers? thers zenith gear for all weapon. have u checked the pvp lockers and saw them?

well as a grenade spec engie i spend 99% of combat with grenades and swapping to elixir for heals and P/P for glueshot then back to nades.

but yes it should be all weapon skins to choose from just not all can fit.

dont forget it didnt show the 100 achie chest either

Unless they give engineers Zenith kit skins somehow, it doesn’t really matter – however, I’m fairly certain all skins will be available at each choice (firstly the “…” in the menu, secondly that they wouldn’t give us the same exact choice at both 1k and 2k)

You can equipment preview the rifle, pistol and shield zenith skins there.

And as several other people pointed out, they are not yet on the “menu” for the 1000 AP chest. That chest unlocks within the next 24 hours, so saying “it was that way in beta” is beside the point. Its that way live, right now. Have they announced a patch yet for tomorrow?

Of course it could just be cropping the list due to poor UI “improvements” but we’ll see.

The chest list does have a …. in the skin list. Is universal for ‘and more’.

from what i have seen ppl saying i can one say i got the pistol skin and love it so i dont know who has said engineer’s wold be left out. sorry to say your wrong… ty gw2 i love my pistol skin

Lol you’re kidding right? Your condescending tone is unecessary.

Firstly, I didn’t spread misinformation. I posted observations and I asked questions based on information that I cited. I also said that if it turns out I’m wrong, I’ll gladly apologize and retract my ire. Also, reading the responses of numerous posters illustrated that some comments were purely based on reading the title and not my OP and the pages I linked. Also, the … looks to me more like a —- used as a placeholder for an empty slot. I know the screenshots and PvP locker show that the Zenith weapons exist but the screenshots I saw & the chart on dulfy’s site did not show them available in the 1000pt chests. My issue wasn’t that they didn’t exist, simply that they’re not available until much higher tiers of AP.

And since it seems we can choose from more than the initially thought selection, I withdraw my annoyance and look forward to my choice tonight.
