I spent the last week doing jumping puzzles and finished them just now and I’m quite disappointed. Not only were all the loot chest rewards awful, but we don’t even get a title for finishing them all?

I am one sad and disappointed panda. I thought the Distinction in Applied Jumping title was for jumping puzzles.

Distinction in Applied Jumping was a SAB title along with the other various jumping titles. Unfortunately they are unobtainable until/if they re-release SAB.

On the plus side, should have given you a decent amount of AP.

I just hoped that after all the hours spent on it I would get something a bit more out of it. Some of those puzzles were really hard. I spent three hours on the Not So Secret puzzle yesterday. :o

All tittles are displayed in the achievements window, in the JP tab there are no titles, so you should know that you would get no tittle.
I agree that JPs should be a bit more rewarding and completing them all could have a tittle attached, but the problem with a tittle is that if more JPs is added later it would be kinda weird to not count or require the new players to do it.

All JP that have been added have been connected to a different section of achievements so it wouldn’t have mattered.

I was a little disappointed there was no title as well, BUT, since I know how many people hate them and will never do them, I feel good that I was able to do them all.

I admire you if you were able to do the Not So Secret one in only three hours of trying. In total I’ve probably spent 9 hours on it and it is the only jumping puzzle I caved on and used the services of a mesmer that was there. I did most of it without help, but I just couldn’t get the last bit. I did however complete all the other ones (ok, so I didn’t get the bomb all the way to the end of Gryphon Rook Run, but I still got the AP. Just not the loot.).

Congrats on getting them all done though! Did you do the WvW ones as well?

Oh yeah, that one took forever, until I realized I was going for the goggles and not the chest. The chest is the easy part.

Now I feel the need to spend another few maddening hours to complete it without a mesmer’s help. LOL

Not so secret was super easy when it was released and entire guilds were running it with lots of mesmers.

For everyone like me who missed those times, yeah it’s painful even with jumping puzzle experience. First time I tried it solo it took me about 45 minutes to get to the airship and then I failed getting the googles (without stoping for the chest first).

Next time I had a friend and we dual mesmered it, still painful but at least I got the achievement. Then while standing on top with the googles, I managed to hit the 1 beam on the way down which you can’t see due to clipping. Dunno when I’ll ever go up there again….

For those that may not know, you can see which achievments give titles/rewards directly from the achievements themselves in the Achievement panel.

Highly recommend checking what the ultimate reward is for an achievement to avoid unnecessary disappointment such as OP is describing.
