If you are asking if this is a part of the NPE, then, yes.
I don’t see the point of them removing that for the NPE. Since there was other ways to complete that renowned heart if new players found it confusing they didn’t have to do it.
Kill stuff to unlock weapons skills, most confusing thing I ever heard of. (sarcasm)
I think the point was some people did find it confusing, but confusing things can be frustrating, particularly when you’re just starting a game.
I think they should put it back elsewhere in the game, away from new players. Maybe in your home instance in Rata Sum or something.

They could leave the rc golems at the start but remove it as part of the heart.
That way, players that found confusing wouldn’t feel they had to do it and therefore wouldn’t get frustrated. They may just be a bit baffled.
I was, I remember trying it and thinking “kitten?” I left it and did other things, at the time I didn’t even take much notice of the hearts tbh.
I do think they should be put back, exactly where they were, but not connected to any hearts.

In the Golem chess unless you did something stupid or had extremely bad luck you always won. OK maybe it took a game or two to figure it out but after that it was always a win so not really much of a challenge. But what gets me is they left the chess boards and golems in place and it looks like you should be able to do something with them, but you can’t. Imagine a new player discovering them right in the beginning of Metrica Province map and wondering what the heck am I supposed to do with these. Anet should have removed them from the game if they were so confusing. I think they are more confusing now.

I don’t think that opening it at level 20 will make it any less confusing for those who are confused by it. There’s nothing between levels 2 and 20 that will explain that game. Putting it in Rata Sum might make more sense.
Anyway, it already has a tutorial. Frankly, if people are getting frustrated by this and thinking of quitting over such a little thing, then there’s little that can be done for them. The whole game would have to be dumbed down to a five year old level to keep them happy, because there are far more challenging things in this game than RC Golem.
