No more living story more on skills please?
I liked SAB, and the Molten Facility dungeon. I’m really enjoying the South Sun story too. I agree work needs to be done on the skill system, but it won’t replace the living story stuff.
Both can be done.
Diff dev teams after all. How do you know that they aren’t working on skill stuff already> (conversely how do we know that they, just proves that we don’t know squat really)
Anywho, I vote for both. Both is good. And I’m loving the living story stuff. I actually had to pry my sorry butt away last night to go to bed. As it was I stayed up far too late. XD
Can we please do some more work on the boring skills system?
That would be most welcome.
However, there’s no monetary incentive to revamp the skill system. Right now the game is making bank from the cash shop, especially RNG boxes. The living story helps keep the target demographic of casuals and whales engaged long enough to consider making a purchase (or several). Working on the skill system does little to help the bottom line, since the kinds of people who care about a finely balanced, fluid and interesting meta either already left the game or are now in the minority.

To be honest all of the living stories were boring and the super adventure game box was just a silly experimentation. Can we please do some more work on the boring skills system?
I was actually thinking that they should do more permanent DE/meta content monthly.
And expand their team working on class balance so it’s not like 2-4 guys sitting around talking about pvp and only focusing on the most favored of classes in the game.

I am sorry you didn’t enjoy them, but please keep in mind that your opinion is just that, yours. I personally have VASTLY enjoyed the content that has been added to the game since release, both one time and ongoing. Judging by the number of people that I see doing the content while I’m doing it, I’m not alone in that feeling.

You are not alone. I like the living story and have enjoyed it very much. I must admit, however, I am longing for new places to explore. I love dungeons, but I want a new map or two.

you sound a bit bitter, but maybe i am reading into things. That said, i think skills actually interest most people, except the finely balanced people you mention who generally hate new skills/professions/skill systems etc. I Fully expect new skills/etc to be a great selling point for any new expansions, or ways to garner attention and get people playing again. Keep in mind though, its kind of a big deal, and you generally only see it in relatively large updates/expansions. Not like GW1 added any skills except once an expansion which is like, what once every 1.5 years? And as far as new skill systems? the closest i think GW has to that is the PVE only skills in campaigns, once again something that will be a lot rarer.

He does indeed sound bitter.
Disagree with this personally. For me the most important aspect of the game is the story. I also do not find that the skill system is inadequate for my enjoyment (quite the opposite in fact). I only wish they could release living story content faster.
