The old legendary weapons were cool but the new doesn’t look very good is more like April’s fool prank skins plz stop trolling the players an design cool things like you did in the past, the legendary weapons are unique you cant brutalizing them like this make weapons look like weapons with 80% realism an 20% kitten. Feel free to share your thoughts about the upcoming legendary weapons an what you want to look like.

I think it’s just a matter of taste. Some feel some of the Core Legendary Weapons are a bit of a joke, and prefer the newer Legendaries. Nevermore seems quite popular, for one.

I think the Devs should release a myriad of different kinds of designs, so that there may be something for everyone.

the only new legendary I haven’t liked so far is the quaggan shield (I have a thing against quaggans, only reason. if it had been a baby krait or anything but a quaggan I’d have probably liked it too). the rest I think are brilliant. on original legendaries, I like 8/20 (incinerator, quip, predator, zap, juggernaut, plus the 3 aquatic ones), the others I find ugly and ridiculous (especially the greatswords).

seeing as they aren’t doing aquatic ones this time around, then already for me it’s 6 to 5 in favour of the new based on land weapons.

I have good hopes for future ones.

The new legendary pistol is the best looking pistol in the entire game.

I just want the legendary weapons to look like weapons, an got some unique features an not like items that you fish out of time hole. Just give to the hero of Tyria his kitten tools of war an murder so he can make his job right, you sons of quaggans.

I crafted H.O.P.E. as my first legendary weapon because none of the older legendaries really caught my eye, but I thought this new legendary pistol was awesome! Sure, the quaggan shield and the boat rifle don’t really stand out to me, but they might be the most awesome legendaries to other players.

(Although in my opinion it would be even better if all of the new legendaries offered some sort of a new aura to go along with the new effects and footsteps like some of the older ones do.)

Good choice! H.O.P.E. was my first crafted gen2 legendary, and it’s so kitten well designed. Everything about it is perfect, and it does reminds me of Scarlet in a sense.

I like the soundeffects the new ones got. Especially the pew-pew-sounds from Hope and Divinity are satisfying. The Shortbow does not drive me crazy which is nice and the occasional quaggan noises (wheeeeuu) from the shield make me chuckle.

I think they make non-joke weapons for weapons that already have joke-version and joke version for weapons that have non-joke version.
I have Quip for example and was glad to switch to H.O.P.E (which rocks).
Not big fan of new sb (although anything is more welcome compared to unicorn generator) then again it is a taste thing.

Well personally I got exactly what I always wanted when they designed HOPE. I love energy guns in Fallout and wanted something like that for the new Legendary so I can pew pew things. I made Chuka as well and even though it’s a bit odd I found it pretty cool in the end.

I do still want a water sword legendary (blade made of water). I was hoping Ebb was gonna turn into that back when it was datamined.

You may call me crazy but Quip doesn’t annoy me as much as The Dreamer… that sound is just… it would be much nicer if we had not-so-loud horse footsteps instead.

The new Handcanon (and even that quagan shield) is more immersive then all those flash fluff Swords and Backpacks i see hanging around in the cities. It always reminds me of a asian anime kids circus. What serious old Legendaries are you talking about?

No matter how much you hate a skin, there’s a large fraction of players that love it. No matter how much you love a skin, another group hates it. (Then, of course, there’s a lot of people like me who think 90% of skins in any game are “meh,” since they all fall into the same tropes we’ve seen time & again.)

If you want to see skins you like more, be specific:

• Which ones in this game do you like? Which do you hate?
• More importantly, what specifically about them moves or irks you?
• Alternatively, offer a mock up of what you do like, whether from another game, found-on-the-net, or something you put together yourself.

I get the feeling that if the original Legendary weapon was a troll (The Dreamer, or Quip, or The Moot for instance) then the new Legendary weapon gets a cool look (Chuka and Champawat, HOPE, Eureka..), and if the original one was cool (like The Predator, or The Flameseeker Prophecies), the new one gets a troll look (The HMS Divinity, Shooshadoo).

I actually don’t consider The HMS Divinity a troll skin, don’t know why everyone says that.
It has a cool mist effect, you are carrying a god kitten cannon (I play engineer, so I prefer that because it fits the shotgun feeling way more than the sniper rifle which is The Predator)….

I wish Chuka+Champawat was a Longbow skin instead of Shortbow

it’s such a massive, powerful-looking weapon that would have been amazing to use on my Warrior, Dragonhunter (Hunt dragons with tigers!), and power-based ranger.

Frankly – I think Legendary weapons need to be more flash over functionality, though I think the Divinity pushes it with the butt of the ship (I’d have preferred a cannon that had a ship surface when you draw it)

Hope, Astra, nevermore are so good…The ones after that don’t really impress me… The rifle doesn’t look like a legendary, it looks like something you can buy from a gemstone… Imo, legendary weapon should look legendary.

This last rifle Legendary looks terrible. I agree they need to make things look cooler not stupid and childish

I’d actually quite like a troll legendary weapon to go with the quaggan one. Or maybe a grawl one instead. =P

As far as current legendaries go, there are a lot I like well enough (though not enough to put the effort/money in to getting them) and a fair amount I’d never bother with.

Future legendaries I’d like to see, I’m sure Anet can think of better things than me and I’d only use them if they fit my characters’ themes but, if they found a way to make the “I just ripped this out of a legendary creature’s body and use it to batter the kitten out of other things now” kind of Monster Hunter style weapon look suitably legendary enough as a skin I’d be all over that in a heartbeat (until then I’ve got the godskull weapons, “Kevin” which always makes me laugh, and a handful of other similar skins to enjoy that theme with).

Depends on taste shooshadoo was sily but hms divinity is actually nice again depends on the taste but “thankfully” in the ama they said lots of the new legendaries in terms of design are definitely no joke.

I think the ascended pistols are the best looking in game and my personal favourite is the super-pistol skin.
HOPE looks nice if Bolt is equipped main hand, otherwise it’s just too much and I personally hate that the grip looks so weird – too short and too thick.
I have no real opinion on legendary weapons and whether or not they are gimmicky or should be. Incinerator is the perfect legendary to me, Bolt could be a tad shinier when not used. I actually like Moot although I have no use for a mace. Most other legendaries are just TOO big and TOO shiny (ETA) no matter whether or not their intention was to be serious or fun.

We definitely need a legendary weapon based on skritt design. I was hoping for a legendary gatling gun made out of shiny scrap as the new legendary rifle, too bad it didn’t come true.

Legendaries most of the time look like some toy rejects from Toys’R’Us – ugly as hell and shining like… well… i think you’ll get the idea. (except maybe 3 weapons)

Yes, it would be one thing if it was only rainbows and kittens, but there is plenty of styles for everybody.

And any legendary that was bubblegum pink would probably suit more mustachioed Norn males than it would female characters haha!
