When they are now hidden from view most of the time….because of “increased Player population”…I have played GW2 since the very week it came out …and you cannot tell me player populations are up from then till now …you have lost many players…so why where the mini’s always there before..but not now

I believe they recently patched that issue, and will probably continue to tweak it. I also believe that due to the new functionality, more people have enabled Mini-pets than were in the past. Players tend to try out anything new in the game (for awhile). You can see evidence of this when new armor, backpacks, weapons, etc. are released. Many people display them, for a time. =)

It’s better since the patch.

They didn’t patch it. They said they lessened the culling for “less populous” maps. That does nothing to help the maps that are populated.

My mini didn’t show up at all in WvW tonight. As someone who spends 95% of my time in GW2 in WvW, I think it’s pretty ridiculous that I’ll never see my minis again.

Honestly. When we turn character quality down so everyone’s generic, we are still rendered in our full glory. How hard is it to allow our own mini to be seen by just by us these times you culled mini’s from others? As nice as it would be to see other player’s minis, for the most part we don’t care, we just want our own visible to us.

Yea this one is one of the silliest part of the patch.

Revamp of Minis!!! You can view your Minis PERMANENTLY!!! Oh wait!! we gotta hide them due to player population.

Who designed the Mini System this way? Underpaid monkeys?

This is probably my least favourite result of the mini changes. I hardly ever see my mini now unless i’m in a city. Several times, i was in a map where i was offered to move to a more populated map and being told the map i was in was closing, yet my mini didn’t come out and when i tried to force it out, i got that annoying message, due to rising population, etc etc, your mini is hidden.

I’m actually regretting now having destroyed all my minis (and i had a lot of them and were worth lot of money combined) to be faced with this. I can only hope they address this fast and at least let us see our own minis at all times.

There isn’t increased population. Just they’ve dumped everyone into fewer instances: megaservers.
