I was wondering when the update will arrive? I don’t see any patch notes yet

When it’s ready™.

We only know the day, not the time.

It could arrive in a minute. It could arrive in five hours. It’ll be some time today, that’s all we know. Check the many threads asking about when the patch will drop for more detailed discussion. Heck, go back through the years to check the threads that pop up with every single big story or balance patch and you’ll get the same answers.

Because you asked, you don’t get to have it. But, the rest of us will enjoy it on your behalf.

This is Monday- new day for realise the patch, so it is not Tuesday and maybe it will be in 40 mins or 1h and 40 mins, we dont know.

I work nights, and not knowing is a pain.
It is getting to the time of day when I should probably consider going to bed. Will have to wait until tomorrow morning after I come back from work, to see what’s up.

6-8pm uk is their usual patch time.

We’ve all got the update patch and have already nabbed all the good loot. Sorry.

Based on the quaggans in the gemstore, it would be safe to headcannon the patchnotes are being delayed by quaggans.

Patch notes would be nice indeed! Shouldn’t take too much efford to post them

Could they put out patch notes before the patch? What if some material would be needed for something new in the patch? Would that not impact the economy? If they left out such information, would players be upset that all was not included in the patch notes? If they staggered the patch notes, would players have concerns like there were with the Gift of Battle?

Lol. I’m sure the patch will drop when ready, and the many ‘When is the patch’ threads will go the way of all previous pre-patch time-drop threads. =P

Except they never post them until the build is released. I wish they would … though on the other hand, if there are economy affecting things they may not want to cue a rush on the TP before the changes go into effect.

It would indeed be nice to have big patch notes 1 or 2 days upfront so people can prepare

Agreed. While it’s understandable, they still almost always need to patch their update… I see little merit to rushing in immediately when updates goes live.

Update just hit.

Also according to my attempt to calculate time zones it’s only 10:20am in Seattle where Anet are based. Assuming they started work at 9am they actually got the patch out quite fast. A lot of people were predicting it would be delayed because they didn’t have a day ahead to prepare for it.
