So I was standing by a Rich Platinum vein in Fireheart Rise (finally got to it and was just sitting there watching Netflix after I mined it / in between CoF runs) and within 5 minutes of me climbing to this mountain top to get the vein, I noticed someone teleport to it, mine it, and teleport away after mining only 3×.

What baffled me is that there’s no report option for this sort of thing, and as far as I know, naming and shaming isn’t allowed on these forums (I have their usernames / character names). I also didn’t have my livestream going at the time because I was just sitting there watching Netflix so I have no video proof.

How does one go about reporting these teleporting node hackers which are becoming more and more common each day? I sat there for well over 2 hours catching up on a show and chatting with guildies and saw at least 20 people (that’s when I stopped counting) teleport to the node, each only mining 3x, then teleporting away.

In the time of me writing this up, 3 more came and went as well. Make that 4.

So I really would love to know how to report these scumbag botters, but there’s no in-game option to so… What should I do when I see these bots?

There is an option in game to report them labelled ‘botting’. But whether you have enough time to report them or whether it works is debatable.

Another way is to manually screenshot them and send it to exploits@arena.net

so just report them for Botting….
did you even look at the reasons you can choose for report ???

Enter their name in your friends panel, then right click on the name and select report. It can help to screenshot them, to avoid missing the name.

You can friend them, then report them from your friends panel. I believe.

We know reporting teleporting bots its very difficult. The best approach for this is to take a screenshot (or as many as needed) and forward them to the CS team http://en.support.guildwars2.com/ so they can deal with it.

Your support is very important for us in this matter. Please, help us fighting bots.
