So, things drop in the original areas before HoT, like Teq Tailpieces, that I can only use if I upgrade to HoT? That’s just stupid. My rewards for finishing their content is useless trash I need to spend $50 on to use. Hardly a reward.

I think it’s pretty poor form. Put HoT drops in HoT places.

Or is this a way of guiding the ever present: “Buy HoT!” on pretty much every screen.

That isn’t quite true. As long as someone in a guild you’re a member of is a scribe, they can use it.

Can they? All I know of it is from the wiki. It said there that the piece you get from the chest is account bound and what you get from the vendor is also account bound.

Yeah. They trade the account bound item in at the guild hall vendor for a decoration which anyone in the guild can scribe with.

The wiki entry is kind of wrong on the second one. I guess there isn’t a “guild bound” description.

Good to know. I deleted mine after wikiing it and reading that the item you buy with it is account bound and only good for scribing.

Yeah, your guild needs I think it’s 200 if they want to make the gold statue. Now, if the OP isn’t in a guild, or one with a guild hall, he’s still out of luck.

Do we have confirmation on this? It would be great to know for sure that when I get a statue piece, I’m not missing out on, say, a spoon or an exotic accessory.

You arent. You can take off the tinfoil now.

That’s not confirmation. Unless a dev has said somewhere that you roll chance for “bonus guild hall loot” in addition to the normal loot roll, I don’t know for sure whether it’s really a bonus or not.

I don’t particularly care, because I’ll keep doing Tequatl either way, but I’d rather not assume anything, and I’m interested in how it actually works.
