Non Stowed Weapons in LA

i just noticed that everyone in LA has drawn weapons. What’s the deal with this? is this part of a protest like the naked charrs?

With the new culling changes, players initially load in with a low quality model that has its weapons out by default. The actual character details is then loaded and since it previously had its weapons out, it will continue to.

Running away to a point that the character is no longer visible and then going back seems to skip the low quality model and properly show them with their weapons stowed.
