Like in GW1? Please? Some of the new outfits are going to be amazing and I really would like to wear my character’s glasses with them. We could do this in GW1 and I really really miss it. <3

The current system doesn’t really allow for only hiding the outfits head… but yes it would be a nice improvement, and there shouldn’t be too much clipping issues either.

I’ve asked for this so many times but Anet is like; “Nooo, I don’t want your money, ewwww.”

Some things that get asked for all the time are just asking for the dead horse gif. This, however, seems eminently reasonable. It fits into the game design philosophy and I would hope wasn’t a nightmare to code given the already extant helms toggle for outfits.

I almost never ask for a dev response (and I never expect to get one). This time, though, I’d like some general comment on how technically difficult this would be. We got one once on why armor weights can’t mix, and learning that doing that is can’t not won’t has quelled a lot of nagging requests.

You could do this in the original game, and it currently counts back items as separate.

You mean like this?

(Now, before everyone goes crazy, realize it was a graphics glitch on my end, which you can see by the missing armor plates on the legs there. That helm is the Black Earth Aquabreather, not the Heavy Plate Helm, and everyone else was seeing the Balth Regalia helm. I have no clue how I made that glitch happen, to be honest, but I do agree with the general statement here. Being able to show normal helms on outfits would be great.)

The reason outfits are cheaper to produce is that they aren’t mix/match. Each new piece that you can substitute means more design work, more testing/fixing, and more potential issues. I don’t mean to suggest that we shouldn’t ask (I, too, would love to use my specs with exemplar); I do mean to point out this isn’t easy to do.
