Hello there.

I recently started the game as an asura guardian…

well as you can guess I’ve been seeing a lot of norn and charr players around the 1-15 zone for Asuras and I can’t but see their skill larger, not only the glyphs/wells on the ground but every other skill such as the greatsword whirlwind…

So I can’t but wonder if they being bigger are better or it’s the same….because in my opinion when they throw the focus laser and it’s larger it hits more people on its way and same would go for the whirlwind….

Any answers please?

I know they can be made larger with traits but those are the ground ones (which I also see really large compared to mine)

it’s the same. It just feels like larger on norn because the model is bigger. But asura’s attack range is a lot larger than its model size (including his weapons)…

This is also why asura can stand in mid air in jumping puzzles. It has the same hit box as the largest charr and norn

any more answers on this? I’m still curious…

carson you said that and I guess it’s true but I do see the norn whirlwind attacks being wider (not reaching longer but being larger)

It’s all visuals Domaik. carson is correct, even in regards to projectiles and whirlwind attacks.

It’s been discussed dozens of times now.

Model != hitbox.

A few minutes testing with 2 characters of different races will confirm this.

It’s just the visual effects. I have a skin for a really shrot dager, but I still attack at the same range.

Anybody know about the hitboxes though?
