Q:
Not Enough Guild Ranks
Couldn’t agree more! Especially with the addition of Scribes, it’d be nice if we could give them different privileges without changing other ranks around.
With guilds expanding options we need to consider different options for our players. We now have guild missions, decorations, and still need to consider access for the guild bank. I don’t know if we would need 20 slots, but more would help.
I’d also like to note that the guild halls are huge
I remember it being mentioned in the live streams that region based decoration permissions were planned. There’s easily enough space in the halls to give a great many players their own piece of the pie to decorate, but in some cases I am hesitant to do so due to the way the guild inventory and decoration permissions work.

We might not have reasons for a full 20 slots but I could easily put them to use in our guild. President, Officer, P v P Captain, W v W Captain, P v E Captain, W v W Devotee, Scribe, Bardian, Decorator, Active Member, Schmuck, NonRep, Vacation, 1-2 Months Inactive, 3-4 Months Inactive, 5 Months Inactive, Alts, Temp.
Though for some of these it would be nice if I could set a “these are equal range” so for example all Captain ranks would be considered equal and they could only admin within their rank or ranks lower than that range.
We definitely need more ranks or an alternate option. I am the guild leader of a larger guild and we have eight raid teams full of ten people. We need a rank for each team, a regular member rank, a pvp rank, an officer rank, and myself as leader for organization to be at it’s best for us. Just adding two more ranks would achieve that goal on our end.
If that is too difficult coding wise(I know nothing about how the code would work or handle it or anything), then maybe a Team management system sort of like how there is one for Guild PvP Teams. We could have one for Guild Raid Teams which could hold 10 people.
I think the purpose of ranks is strictly for guild permissions and not classification of guild members.

While true, that alone is enough of a reason to allow for more ranks, given the new types of permissions.

But how many different configurations do you really need? Based on the OP, and another poster in this thread, their primary intent is to organize members into various groups rather than handle permissions.
I’ll just add that I’m neither for or against this. I just don’t see the point if that makes sense.
