Not Just You / Adapt
Excellent post. And be prepared for the incoming flames.
Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.

This doesn’t make any sense. If all damage were nerfed, then you’d still be losing to the same profession. The Thief that you used to deal 5k per hit is now only taking 3k per hit which gives them plenty of time to assassinate you. Plenty of time to heal themselves.
I think you’re confusing the fact about the nerfs to that your build is an anti-Thief.
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.

Good on you!
I’m glad the spike damage isn’t as spiky anymore, but it’s also gonna be frustrating chasing down someone and not have the power to put them down.
Most people hate change. The human mind is naturally lazy. It looks for ways to save energy. So we fall into familiar patterns and we repeat stuff that comes easily. Not everybody but most people.
Many changes people rail about they often end up liking (or at least forgetting about) over the long term. Again, not everybody but most people.
Me, I like change. I like being forced to adapt. It’s one of the reasons I play MMOs.

I would bet that there’s a limit on what change you’re willing to accept. For example, you got hacked and lost everything that is important to you, you’re willing to accept that? Thus some change needs to be resisted.

people seam to forget some people built there character for crit as there main stat No way in hell that is only a 10% damage reduction for those player
take my char used to have 123% crit damage now its more like 95% has been nurfed into the ground by 30%

Most of the people that post against the nerf (and I’m one of them) is because of 3 reason.
1) They get that Anet nerf crit damage as a step to have more build diversity and not only direct damage build for PvE. But its such a bad and ineffective way to do that. They need to fix condition damage in group or bring a support that need more link to you build. Nerfing crit damage don’t help to bring more build diversity. Its just a useless nerf.
2) The 10% nerf to damage was a half truth. Yup it work for some build. But a lot of stuff wasn’t count and a lot of people end up with a 15%, 20% or even 25% nerf.
3) Divinity stuff was not only nerf harder, but it lose its identity. Its was an hybrid gear that got most of their damage from crit damage. And now its only a hybrid gear will small damage. With the low power they have, Divinity NEED a high amount of crit damage to be worth something.

Once, I got fired from a job that I’d held for a long time, for no other reason than the compay directors were on the take, and after a hostile take over there wasn’t enough money to pay us. At the time I thought it was the worst thing that could possibly happen to me, and it turned out to be one of the best.
But we’re not talking about real life here…we’re talking about a game. That’s all we’re talking about. MMOs change metas all the time and you either adapt or you fall behind. That’s the way MMOs are.
Many people don’t adapt and continue to play as they always did, even after changes have been made. Some people get attached to stuff. We had a guildie in Guild Wars 1 who insisted on using the elite skill backbreaker, which was a knockdown, even though we were going into a dungeon that was filled with Jotun which are immune to knockdown. Total waste of an elite if you ask me, but what can you do.
But in this case, I think most of the changes (not all) in this patch are positive.

Uhm, yes. You would have to be willing to accept that change. What else could you do about it? Obviously you would try to go through the proper authorities, but if that fails, then you must be willing to accept that change. Otherwise you are heading down a path of serious mental disturbance. Some things you have no control over, the healthiest thing you can do is accept that it happened and try to move on from there. Not sit and stew about it, plotting things.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

You forget though, divinity runes and celestial gear (what I use on most of my Ele gear) received a base boost of 6% to all stats, therefore allowing you to mix in a couple of zerker or assassin pieces to bring the power and crit back up without suffering armor and health lose.
