Dear ArenaNet,

Hi may I start out that I like this game a lot, however.. the recent announcement of yet more 1 time only events in poorly timed junctions to almost anyone that works in the retail world (I am a manager of a comic book shop.) that does not have off on weekends will be forced to miss is really getting to me. I’m sorry I just feel that Noon (pst is a bad time all together. I really feel the optimum time would be after dinner say around 5:00pm pst (8:00pm est.) This would likely allow far more players to get to experience these one time events. I was screwed out of experiencing the Halloween one, and it seems like you guys are intent on screwing people who work on weekends over yet again. Please rethink the time you hold these events, it would be much appreciated. I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling this way.

I assure you that a lot more people are off on weekends than on weekdays.

A forum mod already said that they do it at that time because thats when they have the highest player activity.

They only have two choices..make it instanced and save it to people’s log on..which makes it much more like Gw1 and nowhere near a persistent world mmo like they want to be..or they make some people unhappy some of the time, those are their options.

5 pm PST and 8 pm EST is 1 am GMT. On the other hand, 12 pm PST and 3 pm EST is 8 pm GMT. That allows for most people in the west to attend. If this was done during the week, a significantly larger amount of people would not be able to attend. Sunday sees the most player activity, so, while not everyone can attend, Anet is doing their best to get the most people to attend. It’s not perfect but it’s the best they can do to implement their current idea. If they changed the concept they could do other things but I don’t think they will.

I like one time events. It’s like having a live role playing feature or something. Reworking how they do this would seemingly miss the point of… why they’re doing it. It’s just to add a little bit of charm and immersion!

I work too but I don’t care if I miss something. Tyria must evolve, and I must live my life, but when we can meet up we will.
